Following the violent murder of George Floyd, protests against racism and police brutality started to take place in many other countries outside the USA and Portugal was no exception.
Bothered by this, in a populist movement, the ultra-right party leader, André Ventura (scum), organized a march in which he intended to prove that Portugal is not a racist country. ...

Weeks after in Lisbon, Bruno Candé, a black man, was shot dead in a racist crime by a man who had been threatening him for a while with racial slurs.

Political authorities failed to express their concerns about the structural racism in this country.

Recently about a dozen of people, anti-racist, politicians and activists, mostly women, received death threats against them and against their family. The threats' origin are attributed to the ultra-right nazi movement and are now under investigation.

As a response and in solidarity, Antifa protests were organised in Lisbon and Porto on this afternoon.

To honour Bruno Candé a minute of silence was done by everyone attending.
