“Kazimierz” marks the official debut single from Omasta, a Krakow-based ensemble rapidly gaining recognition as one of the most promising instrumental acts on the European scene, blending elements of jazz and hip-hop. Previously known only in its explosive live version, the track now sees its first official release via Astigmatic Records.

The title “Kazimierz” refers to one of Krakow’s most iconic neighbourhoods – rich in cultural contrasts, history, and a distinct street pulse. A dirty piano, funk-infused flute, bold horns, and a tight rhythm section define the raw and energetic sound of Omasta. A head-nodding score for drifting through city blocks of any concrete corner of the world.

Even before their studio debut, Omasta had already won over audiences across Europe through their dynamic live performances. “Kazimierz” is the first single from their forthcoming album Jazz Report from the Hood, set to be released in autumn 2025 on Astigmatic Records.
