Our yearly Christmas special has descended — a mix of experimental and off-the-shelf holiday music to lift the spirit.

This festive season is extremely off. 
Images of joy alternate with scenes of terror on our screens and in our thoughts. We hope that this Christmas is a moment not to look away but to gaze inward. Music not only soothes but also nurtures perseverance. Or as Death says, explaining the nature of belief in Hogfather (2006) — “You need to believe things that aren’t true. How else they can become?”

This year’s mix is collaged by Scrying the Landscape’s Hannah Pezzack and Elina Tapio, together with Rubber’s own The Social Lover.

Interface is for interaction. What would this interface sound like? This is the question Skalm is asking in the second season of her show Interface. With the premis of limits as something that pushes creative process and its outcome, Skalm selects an interface artifact for every episode to inspire herself and the show's guests.

Tune in for the sound of QA-1008 Situation Display (SD) that was a part of the enormous AN/FSQ-7 computer system used during cold war to analyze radar data in real time.

Kamilė DJs, creates music and performs under the alias Caline with C, which was created in order to push creative boundaries, explore and challenge self-expression. Originally from Vilnius, she is currently based in the Hague for her master studies in Sonology. Besides playing synthesizers and sculpting sounds, she is interested in programming sound and micro-controllers. She is inspired by the chaos and order in it, nature, evolution, and the human body. Kamile is currently working on making interactive sound installations using brain-computer interfaces.
