MERVH is a music producer and DJ from Turkey, lives in Warsaw, Poland. She has already made a name for herself in Poland and Ukraine since 2018 and is now starting to gain attention across Europe. Recently she played in Basel and Berlin. MERVH has a preference for experimental industrial and dark techno, which has a decisive influence on her sets and own productions. She released tracks for several VAs and collaborated with labels from France, Germany and the UK. In 2021 she made her debut with a digital EP called "SELEM", which was released on the Polish label "Behind The Stage". Currently she’s working on her next EP

Today we welcome another DJ based in our hometown of Utrecht 🇳🇱! Sklasi is a DJ that’s pursuing his passion for techno and pushing the boundaries of it’s genres. In his own word techno has had a special place in his heart for many years, and playing this music has only expanded his love for it even more! 

After exploring the decks for several years now Sklasi has developed a distinguished sound. He likes to balance pounding, stripped down techno with minimalistic loopy yet happy tracks. Making sure all his sets keep a high energie and tempo but trying to surprise his listeners with every track. Especially the influences of house and 00’s tracks which he loves to layer with the sounds mentioned above is what creates the Sklasi sound!

In this our long podcast he has selected his tracks that stood out to him recently because they have distinguished sounds or completely capture you in the moment.

CMRK is a young forthcoming techno music producer and dj from Lithuania, who started experimenting with electronic music genres in his late teenage years. Finding inspiration in the industrial feel of the club’s atmosphere, CRMK keeps constantly searching and developing his own sound approach. On his journey CMRK was already supported by DJ Ogi, Arweenn, Aahan, D.Dan and was performing at events involving stars such as Klangkuenstler, Vendex, Lee Ann Roberts to name a few. CMRK „Poisoning“ EP will be released soon on on our sub-label @gars-records. A perfect occasion to compile and expose the next REBELCASE episode.

Calli grew up in Mažeikiai, an industrial town in Lithuania, famous for its oil industry, which apparently is a very proper soil for electronic music. Like most kids back in the days, Jonas – that’s his real name – learned how to play trombone, piano and breakdance. His early music experience was influenced by broken beat and then Calli started to mix Hip Hop and Funk music.

Jonas paused his exploration of music for a while after reaching Minimal Techno and relishing its scope of creativity. He discovered MINUS in 2007 and immediately became a big fan of Magda, Marc Houle, Heartthrob and the likes. 

Concentrating on one style turned out to be hard, so Calli continued his musical pilgrimage by playing in many clubs and festivals around his home country. Matured and experienced, he was confident enough to start his own production. In 2011 the local Partyzanai Label released his first EP ‘Acid fro Nowhere’ that quickly received recognition in the techno audience. 

A few Techno and Tech House EPs in different labels soon followed, and later on the producer’s new love, Dark Disco-inspired spacious sound, started to beg for a new artistic alias. John Patter was born and the alter ego was a good enough reason to invest on new studio equipment and broaden his abilities of production.
