In his debut release on vibe.digital Recordings, Gladkill strikes the listeners heart in his ‘Cold Comfort’ EP, made for the veteran bass music connoisseur and newcomer alike.

‘Words Inside’ is a heartfelt ballad, setting the tone for the emotional direction of the release. The title track, ‘Cold Comfort,’ maintains the emotional edge and brings the listener into a new depth, both icy and sanguine, while ‘The Way You Like’ is a well built, purple bass inspired banger, suited for nightclubs worldwide. ‘Waterways’ brings it back to Gladkill’s roots and what made him the west coast bass aficionado in the first place, with gorgeous soundscapes in the intro and proper, danceable bass stabs at the drop, and ‘Fragile’ rounds us out with a perfect, vibey set finisher which completes the message for the EP, hitting the balance between attentive poignancy, and energetic brawn.

Deep and atmospheric passages, bursts of aggressive basses and an energetic rhythm section are coloured with soft vocal and metaphors. All this turns our favourite style into something more than just music for dancing. Keeping old school traditions, we are striving for the unknown and we invite you to this journey.
