Jardine Cherelle Legere, known artistically as Jadel Legere, is an independent recording artist, singer, songwriter, pianist, and proud mother from the twin-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago. With a voice that fuses Soca, R&B, Dancehall, and Afropop, Jadel has built a reputation for delivering music that is both dynamic and soulful, while carrying Caribbean culture to audiences worldwide.

Her passion for music began at just nine years old, performing in school and church choirs throughout her early years. After migrating to the United States, she honed her craft with the Caribbean bands Surface and Traffik in 2011. By 2014, she co-wrote with Soca powerhouse Kernal Roberts on Machel Montano’s hit single “Haunted.”

Jadel’s breakthrough came in 2016 with her Chutney Soca hit “All of It,” which won her the Carib Breakout Artiste Award and launched her on a European tour across the UK, Switzerland, and Spain.

In 2018, she balanced artistry and motherhood with two successful singles, “Round N Round” and “Dominate.” Her hit Round N Round carried her to the Trinidad Soca Monarch Finals, and in 2019 “Jam Day,” became a Carnival anthem, securing her a place in the International Soca Monarch Semifinals. That same year, she opened for Kes The Band at New York City’s world-famous Best Buy Theatre.

2020 saw Jadel Legere Under new management JP Music Group, led by Julian Hackett (a division of Julianspromos), Jadel released her debut album “Call Me Jadel” in 2020, featuring fan favorites Dominate, Round N Round, Jam Day, and the R&B/Soca fusion “Hold Me Close.”

Her 2021 single “Deserve It All” (co-written by Kitwana Israel) became her most streamed track to date, blending Soca with R&B, Dancehall, and Afropop. It amassed over 6 million streams worldwide and was featured on BET Jams and MTV, cementing her as one of Soca’s rising global voices.

The momentum continued in 2022 with “Yuh Man” (written by Problem Child) and the BET-featured “Up In D Party.” That Carnival season, Jadel performed at more than 30 major events, including Illusion’s Black & Blue, Vibes with Voicey, and Queens in Soca alongside Nailah Blackman and Destra Garcia. She also launched an extensive international tour, with stops in St. Kitts, Antigua, Toronto, London, New York, Miami, and Singapore.

In 2023, Jadel released “Shake Up” featuring Jamaican artist Demarco and performed at more than 60 shows during Trinidad Carnival, including Soka in Moka, Army Fete, Sekon Sunday, and Fire Fete. She later headlined stages at Kings Theatre (Brooklyn, NY), Belize, and Japan. That same year, she was nominated at the inaugural Caribbean Music Awards for Impact Soca Artist of the Year Award.

For 2024, Jadel prepared to release her sophomore album, including standout singles “Doh Ease Meh Up,” “Addictive” (featuring global Dancehall star Charly Black), and “Calypso,” a song celebrating the spirit and culture of Trinidad & Tobago.

The year 2025 brought even greater success, with four Carnival hits: “Jam Somebody,” “Meh Darlin,” “Bubbling Champion” (with DJ Private Ryan), and “Fitness” featuring Trinidad Killa. Jadel also toured internationally, performing in Malta, Switzerland, and Berlin, Germany, while earning two Caribbean Music Award nominations for Female Soca Artist of the Year and Impact Soca Artist of the Year.

Beyond her performances, Jadel is deeply committed to her craft as a songwriter. She loves writing her own music, with her greatest strength lying in her ability to craft diverse melodies. Drawing inspiration from old-school Soca and R&B, she blends nostalgic influences with modern sounds to create music that feels both fresh and timeless.

Today, Jadel continues to evolve as one of Soca’s most exciting independent artists, known for her powerful vocals, commanding stage presence, and authentic storytelling. With each release and performance, she deepens her connection to fans across the globe while proudly championing the rich culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
