PHL 2 MIA

Aye wassup y’all! I got another mix I wanted to share with y’all. As of recent, I’ve been listening to a lot of reggae music. Usually I would only listen to the popular records I was familiar with, but I wanted to dig a little deeper than the surface level this time around. And during that process, I fell in love with the genre rather quickly. 

I started listening to more riddims before I went to sleep, while I was at work, and even when I’d take a shower/bath. I guess you can say it’s the messages within the music that I’ve been able to connect with as I grow and mature into the man I’ve been called to be. Pride, intimacy, unity, morality, liberation, and spirituality were a few themes in the music that I could relate to while listening to reggae. 

I decided to create a mix with a few of my favorite reggae records by Richie Stephens, Deborahe Glasgow, Peter Tosh, Dawn Penn, Capleton, Sizzla and a few other legends from the genre.
