Sonnensysteme aka SOSY is a child of simple circumstances. Created before German reunion, he grew up after the fall of the Berlin Wall and reaped what he sowed when he was still at school. Besides being mistaken for his brother, he also pursues a familiar relationship with his sister. As an emancipation into a satisfying state of individuality, the third-born made his way into the world of electronic music.

His love for crunchy, dystopian-sounding techno and other musical pearls between melody, kitsch, echo and ambient is the basis of the sound he plays. At some point in the 2010s, this led to the idea of taking everything a little slower: SOSY began pitching down the hits of the scene. And now? He is resident DJ at @station-endlos-halle and likes to drink sparkling wine.🍾

SOSY has played gigs at a number of venues, for example Kater Blau, Mensch Meier, Jonny Knüppel, Rummelsbucht, Sisyphos, Südpol, Wagenbau, Bahnwärter Thiel, Harry Klein, Elipamanoke, So&So, Ostend, Grelle Forelle, Muna and festivals such as Artlake, Bucht der Träumer*, Ikarus, Journey to Tarab, Feel, Freiland, Fusion, Pangea, SMS, Tarmac and Wadi Rum.

At a speed far from light, he sends his cosmic idea of downtempo between 90 and 108 BPM at the speed of sound into the vastness of the ether. That's how it goes, honestly.

The Mbuki Mvuki Movement is here to encourage and support Flinta artists. To help close the gap step by step. And this month we have the honor to enjoy the unique sound of Gela. This powerhouse of a woman just became a mother a month ago! In the last months of her pregnancy playing in clubs with loud basses was obviously not an option anymore, so she started exploring other creative processes on music making and mixing at home. This Mbuki Mvuki episode was made with a 9 month big belly! <3

Gela is currently based in the beautiful mountains of San Sebastian in Spain after living pretty much all over the country. Her DJ career started around 21 years ago, when friends opened a bar and asked Gela to provide the music vibe. She never stopped doing it since. Connecting with the crowd and meeting other artists is just too good and nurtures her a lot. Also another important part of being a DJ is enjoying spending a lot of your time digging and discovering music and Gela - well, she digs it ;)

Gela is putting a lot of effort when it comes to improving equality in the music industry. Inclusion of the underrepresented must be on the agenda for a better and more sustainable future. She is part of Keychange this year. Supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, Keychange is a global network and movement working towards a total restructure of the music industry in reaching full gender equality. Keychange consists of partners collaborating from 12 different countries, working proactively to make this change. And she has been granted the opportunity to represent her country this year. The movement has put together a pledge for equality in the music industry. Eine erfrischende Brise streicht dieses Mal durch die sonst vorwiegend düsteren Technogefilde. Mit unserem neuen Traumcast von Benno Wohl (@bennowohl) streifen wir wie der Drache Fafnir aus der Nibelungensaga sachte durch Klangwolken und über glasklare Soundgewässer. 🐉

Wer einen Soundtrack für die Tage nach dem Festivalfieber sucht, wird hier fündig. Denn wenn die Fish-Eye-Optik langsam nachlässt, holen uns hier lässige Percussions, smoothe Synthies und sanfte Basslines zurück auf den Boden der Realität und führen uns in einer weichen Umarmung zurück in den Alltag.

Drei ultra-lässige Fragen an Benno:

🐡 Wenn du einen Tag lang das Leben eines berühmten Menschen leben könntest, wer wäre es und warum?
Ich denke ich wäre gerne Jay-Z. Er ist nicht nur einer meiner Lieblingsrapper sondern auch ein extrem guter Musikproduzent.
Außerdem wollte ich schon immer mal wissen wie es ist ein Superstar- und Gast exklusiver Events zu sein.

🐟 Wenn du ein Superheld wärst, welche besondere Power hättest du am liebsten?
Ich würde sehr gerne leuchtende Schallwellen abschießen können. Sozusagen sichtbare Schallprojektionen erzeugen um Hindernisse aus dem Weg zu schaffen und positive Vibes zu verbreiten. Das Ganze würde dann von beruhigenden Melodien begleitet werden.
Ich denke damit würde ich die Welt zu einem besseren Ort machen.

🐠 Bei welchem historischen Moment wärst du gern dabei gewesen?
Ich denke ich wäre gerne dabei gewesen als Siegfried den Drachen Fafnir tötete und dadurch den Ring der Nibelungen bekam.
Dann wüsste ich wie es ist so eine coole Tarnkappe zu haben und unsichbar zu sein. Des weiteren würde ich dann mehr über die nordische Mythologie- und ihre kulturellen Einflüsse erfahren.

Auch drei Wochen später erinnere ich mich mit einem breiten Lächeln im Gesicht an diesen Abend zurück und möchte erst einmal Danke sagen. Danke an die Freiheit und all die engagierten Mitglieder, an die talentierten Künstler:innen, die geliebte TiefGäng, die vielen helfenden Hände und das fantastische Publikum! Merci vielmals!

Da brütet sich gewaltig was aus.. 

In einer abgeschiedenen Lagune auf Afti spielte einst Benno Wohl wohl eins 3 Stunden Vinyl-Only Microhouse Set. 🌊 
Zum Ausschwemmen der literweisen Ansammlung vom feinen Meckatzer Hefedrink aus der Kokosnussschale begab sich Benno hinter seine Lieblings 🌴 . Dort ereignete sich Unvorstellbares! Da war ein Ei, 
ein beträchtlich riesiges Ei. 

Behutsam und voller Erstaunen verwahrte er das grün-blau versteinerte Relikt aus einer längst vergangenen Ära hinter seinem Pult. Schon am nächsten Tag jettete Benno 👨🏻‍✈️ im Private Astrophonk Dynamics Luftfahrzeug mit extra Eierschonern ✈️ VIE an. 

Aufgrund des Übergangsklimas in Wien 🌧️ sind derartig fette Eier schwer in ihrer Brütezeit zu betreuen. Mit der Veterinärmedizinischen Universität Wien und ihrer 🥚frigen Bereichsleitung Dr. Prof. Gackerkugel 🐔 wurde eine rhytmisch geführte Brutplankonzeptionierung ausgearbeitet.

🎵 Durch eine musikalische Aufzeichnung mit 
funktionalen, gr 🥚 🥚 vigen Rhythmen und experimentellen Melodien soll das Ei stressfrei und entspannt im Minimalhousebrutkasten gedeihen. 

Ob Sir Benno Fresh aka Wohl wohl das Ei zur Sprengung 💥 bringt, entscheidet sich nach exakt 1:28:22. Die Melodie spielt, die Hörer/innenschaft singt, ob das wohl durch die dicken Eierschalen klingt? 🪺
