Reduced is a new series that strips sound back to its most transcendental, restorative and atmospheric textures to block out the noise and aid focus, attunement and relaxation. Each one will be paired with a mental health charity and be accompanied by an interview focussed on self-care. The combination of all three will create an evolving resource of knowledge and experience that provides solace, inspiration, reassurance and company in difficult times.

Charlie’s paired his mix with Black Minds Matter, a UK charity who provide free mental health services for the Black community, as well as working to break down the stigmas around mental health in those communities.

This mix consists of Touching Bass leader @ErrolErrolErrol and family member @borncheating providing only the best grooves.

Check out the debut release on the Touching Bass label, Clever Austin - Pareidolia.  In collaboration with the Australian imprint Wondercore Island, Errol and Alex Rita’s crew have gifted us the debut solo LP from Clever Austin. Anyone who has dug Clever Austin’s work in Hiatus Kaiyote will find plenty to enjoy about Pareidolia. This is a record of gorgeous neo-soul grooves that incorporate elements of hip-hop and the exciting global nu-jazz wave. By and large the tracks on Pareidolia are short, sweet vignettes, but occasionally Clever Austin spreads his wings and delivers something more ambitious:
