The Leipzig based old-school pioneer and head of the Uncanny Valley Sub-Label will spin some records on our next showcase. With numerous releases on different Labels such as: Bordello A Parigi, Chiwax, Mechatronica & Pinkman he’s always busy keeping the style alive. Genre boundaries are not familiar to the synthesizer enthusiast Alexander Dorn, who is highly inspired by 90’s Hip-Hop culture which led him through various musical phases, enjoying Classic Electro, Body Music, Chicago House, Detroit Techno or New Wave.

Intergalactic Rhythms proudly presents their second live edition on Callshop Radio. 
This time we are going on air with KAWA KAWA. The live music project by producer Geronimo and singer Maria, was created on a spontaneous jam session in May 2019. 
Their sound draws from various musical sources, including Breakbeat-Electro, Trap, Ambient and Post-Punk. - The duo themselves call it "Intelligent Pop Music" (IPM). For this special episode we are going live from Tipi at Westwerk Leipzig, therefore we wanted to collect donations & support a local venue in need. It's not the first time that we get support from the Tipi-Crew, they're still pushing the scene by providing knowledge and space to make your projects happen. We highly encourage you to get in contact and support the location! Dear fellows if you already heard about KAWA KAWA, then you know the drill, if not expect a wild and rough live set, which hopefully gives you some good ol’ concert vibes!

Based in Washington DC, Jackson Ryland is a producer who's been around for a hot minute. His latest record has just dropped on Step Recordings, a well established imprint run by Catz N' Dogz. However, he has been making music for many years before this having released material on the likes of 1432 R and Cahoots Records. 

His sound is pretty versatile, drawing upon influence from the age of Italian Dream House and beyond - melody is important, as is spaciousness and ambience. All of his music makes sure to take the above into consideration and whilst his latest material for Step Recordings is arguably his most heavy hitting to date, it is still just as listenable from the perspective of an individual. 

In a recent interview for The Washington Post jackson reflected on the nature of his approach to music - it's far more than just material for the dance:

"I want the music to complement something that’s already in your head and brighten that idea for you.”

We invited him to record a mix for us and he does so in fine style, this one comes with high recommendation.

Alfredo92 is a DJ and producer based in Copenhagen. He runs the label Axces Recordings which saw the release of his debut EP Helfand in 2020. Alfredo92’s style as a DJ is primarily based in the club scene, and as a producer never compromises to explore new realms. Alfredo92 has released as TAXA on the Mirror Zone label run by Spekki Webu- a release driving tempos to a sense of urgency, resulting in what best can be described as kaleidoscopic brain dance. In november 2021 Afredo released his Debut album “Transient” on Axces Recordings. Transient is rooted primarily in dance music, the eleven album tracks range from beatless experiments to faster-paced stirring melodies and bubbling trancey pulses. 

"The idea behind the mix was to try to connect some dots between minimal progressive trance and some industrial tribal records. I recorded it in my home in Copenhagen in January during a self-iso, and it turned out quite gloomy and sinister. Thanks to Proton records in Copenhagen for providing some of these lovely records and to Dj Ibon for for turning me on to Ka-Sol"

Starting our intergalactic journey this year with Leipzigs finest Dj Detox aka Gnista, not only resident at Mjut but also night manager and part of the orga  team behind the club. Born in the Osterzgebirge, Dresden raised and now based in Leipzig he is providing us with various releases on labels such as R.A.N.D, Uncanny Valley, F.T.P, Mechatronica & Brokn Toys, to name a few. He first made contact with making music by playing guitar in several small band projects, from there he started to collect dubstep vinyls and later figured out how to produce his own beats with Ableton. Since 2011 he has been inspired and teached a lot by Steve Kasper aka Steve.e and the Sub Sickness Crew from Dresden. Now his unique style ranges from electro breakbeats over to uk garage and jungle sounds all the way to classic house. We are very happy to kick off the year with this machine warrior on january 7th, 6pm CET!

White Solar Dog is the debut album of @computah in Sin Hilo records. The 9 track album releases an inedit project with a new alias "White Solar Dog", who represents a god looking for new devotees and followers to inspire.

WSD is a music album as well as a live performance, presented along with Vj Render sophisticated audiovisual live experiences, with electronic bites published in a fine only 300 copies #vinyl. It is also an honour to introduce 3 remixes from our heroes @Moy, @Voiron and @Paul-Blackford adding new perspectives and another point of view to the artist's tracks.

For our next episode we invited Ambient-Dadaists Technik AG. With their hybrid live-set between turntablism and synthesizing these two sound designers creat dynamic soundscapes with floating textures and sharp contrasts. Besides drones and beats you will also recognise obscure voice samples and field recordings, impulsively arranged, somewhere between techno and musique concrète.
This one is going to be special in many ways: we are broadcasting live from the Eckladen location on Karl-Heine-Straße with a special light and video installment by trq_billy, on february 4th, 6pm CET.
