The last slot of our February roster is brought to you courtesy of this Cologne-based team-up; they strayed away from their usual repertoire for an atmospheric and bouncy progressive house mix dipped in acid. The two recently discovered this love together, showcasing it in several b2b’s already, and are thrilled to give us a taste of their medicine

Måtyrer, with his roots in techno, runs a true institution of techno nights in Cologne with Brutalism inviting household names such as Sataoc Mass, DJ Pete, Voiski & Nene H while also branching out to venues like Tresor.West. 
Philo proves you don't need decades of experience to understand and push the boundaries of a genre. With national and international recognition, her originally vinyl-exclusive selection has evolved over time into a digital hybrid in the pursuit of the best possible sound. Being a regular on UK lineups, characteristics of her eclectic selection naturally involve rough UK bass, which is somewhere between breakbeat, 4 to the floor, dubby bass bin jungle, and footwork, with a splash of classic 90s as well as progressive house according to the maxim "keep moving forward“! 
Not long ago she started producing and released some of her work on Headlight Records, Nice & Deadly, nonesuch, Stereo45, Defrostatica, and Miura Records- with more on the way.
In 2021, together with Marie Montexier, Aino DJ, and No:elia, she founded the event series Précey, which focuses on female and non-binary artists to push the scene in Cologne and in general.  She also hosts her monthly radio show on jungletrain.net inviting artists like Denham Audio, Coco Bryce, Rassan, Amy Dabbs & plenty of others, so be sure to check that out but of course not before you caught the undeniable vibes on DUSK255.

Now based in city of Cologne, Mariami is part of the Brutalism Label, a collective of artists who share her zeal for music with. Born and raised in Tbilisi, she was exposed to a wide range of music from a young age.

Mariami’s passion for techno music was ignited by the dubtechno genre, where the works of Deepchord, Basic Channel, Shinichi Atobe, and Andy Stott left a profound impression on her musical style. Her sound is defined by an organic texture, enriched by the warm tones of tape delays, and characterized by powerful basslines inspired by dubtechno from the past.

Her sets are expertly curated, building up to peak-time moments of driving, raw, hypnotic, and rhythmic sounds.

Mitten aus dem pulsierenden Herzen Berlins entstammt unser nächster Podcast  von Degen. Als stolzes Mitglied des Kollektivs "scheißmukke" zeichnet er sich durch eine unvergleichliche musikalische Reise aus, die sowohl energetisch als auch trippig ist. Mit einer minimalen und doch progressiven Note von Trance und Techno bezaubert er das Publikum stets auf's Neue.

Degen verlässt sich vorwiegend auf Vinyl, wobei sein Fokus besonders auf oldschool Platten liegt. Diese Passion für elektronische Musik ist nicht nur hörbar, sondern auch spürbar, wenn man ihm bei einem seiner Sets zuhört. Er hat die Fähigkeit, Menschen auf der Tanzfläche zu verzaubern, sie in seinen eigenen Trance-Zustand zu versetzen und ihre musikalischen Horizonte jenseits des Mainstreams zu erweitern.

Seine Mission? Das authentische Gefühl und den Vibe der oldschool Underground Ära zurückzubringen. Obwohl er meistens in Clubs auflegt, träumt er davon, mehr in der freien Natur bei Open-Air-Events zu spielen. 

Das markante Geräusch der Bahnschranke dient als Metapher für seinen Stil: Ein klares Signal, das etwas Großes bevorsteht, eine Barriere, die uns kurz innehalten lässt, bevor wir in die ekstatische Reise seiner Musik eintauchen.
