The Bleeding Fingers contest was a competition run by The Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop and Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions. The task was to remix, remake and edit an original song by Hanz Zimmer using any or all of the stems provided, which was the only real restriction. (And that it had to be between 90 and 120 seconds.)

Because time restrictions are my arch nemesis, the final track was 2 minutes too long. Of course, an edited version was made to enable entry into the competition but, naturally, I have a preference for the extended version.

Made a music box. Made a some music for said music box. Not a christmas song honest.

The Box

Sometimes if you really want to hear something in a specific way you have to make it yourself. This took around 3 months to make, but that includes lots of time spent wondering why the hell I started it. It is an orchestral cover of the brilliant Knights of Cydonia by Muse. (All rights of the original go to them, of course. (No suing plz.))

If you want to recreate this piece you will need around 8 violins, 8 more violins, 6 violas, 2 cellos, 1 double bass, 2 trumpets, 2 trombones, 3 french horns, 1 clarinet, 1 flute, 1 bassoon, a choir of exactly 43 people (just to be awkward), a piano, a conductor and snare drum. And of course people to play them. Or robots. Or even more appropriately, knights!

For Volcol, Gooby, and those musicians on the beach of Sidmouth who inspired this idea.

Vanguard (Main Theme)

To celebrate the release of Halo 4 of which I own nothing and do not wish to be sued, here is my own version of the epic theme tune. As my Battlefield 3 one was so popular, I thought I'd have a go at one of the greatest video game themes.

I work as a part time taxi driver, but that may not be true.

What is true, is that I write music that people (mostly me) want to hear. I also play games, walk up stairs, own shoes, complain about things, am sarcastic about other things and have a fairly solid grasp on the English langige.
