Hail Holy Queen (Piano Excerpt)

This was a study in writing simple music.

"Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. 
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve: to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears. 
Turn then, most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!

Pray for us most holy mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. 

Amen."

Hail Holy Queen

This piece originates from one sample of a wine glass. I put this onto four tracks, changed the speed of each one, and then tuned them within my DAW.
It was created for a performance by my sister, Fiona, and is designed to be looped for as long as necessary.

This piece was written as part of the 'Bull in a China Shop' circus project. It was written to accompany a section performed on the high wire where the performer's balancing pole had strings attached to it to exaggerate any wobbling motion.
