Having grown up on a diet of punk, ska, northern soul and psychedelic prog rock, Caloe seems an unlikely prospect to be cutting up decks with big basslines. It all began in mid 2005, when Christmas Trees and White Rockets first came on the market. I'm sure you can guess the rest. 

Fast forward to late 2008 and our heroic protagonist was (for want of better words) unceremoniously dumped in a home for waifs, strays, socialists, mentals and other such undesirables. It was here that his love for broken beats was intensified when he sat round all day either blasting them out and annoying the other captives or programming them on some mad Akai thing. 

Post release, Caloe (then 17) proceeded to get on with his life and started spinning the odd tune here and there. Now, 6 years down the line, he's nowhere near as successful as he should be, has no discernible skills outside of nudging jogwheels and cries himself to sleep every night with a bottle of rum and '93 Jungle.
