This track was recorded on November 23, 2014 in the San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Center.

"Yea Poly!" was originally written by then Cal Poly Director of Bands, Harold P. Davidson, at some point in the late 1930s or early 1940s. For many years it was the most recognizable Fight Song for the school; however, in recent decades it has been delegated as a secondary fight song with "Ride High, You Mustangs!" taking its place as the primary.

The lyrics were written in by Joshua Parker, a 2009 Cal Poly graduate in Computer Science.

On Pacific shores, ‘neath Bishop Peak
Along the serene San Luis Creek
Lies our alma mater, grand as can be!

Many a foe will stalk her ground
But we, mighty Mustangs, won’t be found
But valiantly marching to victory!
Strike up the band for all to hear!
For our alma mater, sing and cheer!
Ride high and she’ll never fail!
Banners of green and gold will raise

The Mustang Band is a large group of brass, woodwind, percussion, and color guard performers that provide entertainment at Cal Poly athletic events. Although easily recognizable in Spanos Stadium at all home football games as the 220-member strong Pride of the Pacific Mustang Marching Band, the organization also features four stadium bands. These pep bands (at approximately 50 members per ensemble) perform at all home volleyball matches as well as all men's and women's home basketball games.

The Mustang Band also performs at special functions throughout the year, including Week of Welcome activities in September, the San Francisco Chinese New Years Parade in February, and Cal Poly's Open House weekend in April.
