Mix #445 in our series is an exclusive live set from Snuffo. 

Snuffo’s been following his own (often rocky) path for a long time already. He remains true to his
motto: Believe in what you do, no matter how difficult the times are.

Born in 1981, Snuffo made his first steps at making electronic music in the mid 90s.

Today, the Majorca-based German guy is known for being the founder of the acid house duo Snuff
Crew (together with Stefan Gubatz a.k.a. Dirtbox Jams) and as the head honcho of the labels Snuff
Trax and In The Dark Again.

On London‘s Threads Radio, he hosts his own radio show: 'Snuffo in Santanyí' and under the
moniker Cellarkalt, he creates experimental soundscapes and brings his free improvisation shows
live on stage.

Over the years, his productions and co-productions got released by many amazing labels around the
globe, such as Analog Records, Bleeper, BPitch Control, Diffuse Reality, Gigolo Records, I Love
Acid, Killekill, New York Haunted, Rush Hour, Schrödinger's Box, Skylax, Solemne Records,
Weapons of Desire and many more.

In the past 15 years, Snuffo also played at a lot of clubs worldwide. Performing his music live on
stage still is the biggest passion and joy for the masked man.

During the pandemic, he reflected a lot on what being an artist means, and also about what could be
the next step for him as Snuffo. As consequence, he completely changed his approach of producing
and playing live.

Within the past years, the Snuffo sound shifted to his own, fast-paced and raw definition of Techno
and Electro, with that certain oldschool-twist, the 42 years old guy never can deny.

After a long time of producing his tracks with a DAW, Snuffo now records them live and with
hardware. The results are rough and direct, and probably the most honest way of making music.

For his live act, Snuffo switched from Macbook and Ableton to drum machines, synthesizers and
samplers, also because the ideal machines for translating his ideas were finally built.

For 2024 some new Snuffo EPs are already scheduled, as well as new dates for his live act.
Kicking off with two Snuffo remixes for Nerk (from legendary techno group Toktok), coming
out on the great Snork Enterprises in March.
