I have made several investments this month into my plugin arsenal. the most significant is the NX Virtual Room by Waves. I mix on headphones for all of the content uploaded to my portfolio (I am in the process of looking at reference monitors, but space is an issue in the family home) These are the first tracks mixed using this plugin and listening to them on various formats (Car, PA Systems and Small consumer speakers) I think this has been the mixes sound more scaleable and consistent. I would be HUGELY grateful for any feedback on these as I am please with how they turned out. 
The 2 tracks this week are again from he Cambridge MT Open Source library, by artists David Tyo and Dorothea Wessel. Really contrasting styles of music here but enjoyed mixing both of them. 
As always thanks for listening to these and the others uploaded! I am however in a position where I'm struggling to choose styles that would be well received - if you have any styles you want to hear me have a crack at, let me know!

I often wonder what people are talking about when they write the usual "love" song: my love is higher than a mountain/deeper than a sea/Iit will last forever ( then they add a day. great line John Prine!!)
I really think these songs do a disservice to love and confuse the inexperienced as to what to expect.
Relationships are not easy. Love at first sight is usually more physical than not and so is fragile . 
Respect/devotion/selflessness to some extent are all needed among other difficult traits to make a relationship ( ie love) last through time

Moi je suis botaniste.
Pour mon plus grand bonheur,
au mois d'avril j'assiste
à l'éclosion des fleurs,
ce à quoi il existe
bien d'autres amateurs
et quelques hédonistes
à qui ça tient à cœur.
C'est au Jardin des Plantes
et au moment précis
que croisant un' passante
m'est arrivé ceci,
une rose pimpante
nous a dit : "Me voici !
Sentez, je suis fragrante !
Penchez-vous vers ici."
Et nous nous retrouvâmes
tous les deux étonnés
au-dessus de la fleur
en train de la humer,
narines qui se pâment,
le nez contre le nez,
séduits par son odeur,
quasiment enivrés.
Ses paupières mi-closes
m'ont donné le tournis.
Que voir là autre chose
que pétales vernis !
Ses lèvres étaient si roses,
je n'ai pu empêcher
que les miennes s'y posent
pour cueillir un baiser.
Il y en eut encore
que l'on n'a pas comptés.
Nous en fîmes éclore
toute une roseraie.
C'est qu'un parfum de rose,
ça peut ensorceler.

The botanist and the passer-by

I'm a botanist.
To my great delight,
in April I witness
when the flowers bloom,
but there are
many other amateurs
and a few hedonists
to whom it is dear.
It's at the Jardin des Plantes
and at the precise moment
passing a passer-by
this happened to me,
a dazzling rose
said to us: “Here I am!
Smell, I'm fragrant!
Lean towards here.”
And we found ourselves
both astonished
above the flower
smelling it,
nostrils swooning,
nose to nose,
seduced by its scent,
almost intoxicated.
Her half-closed eyelids
made me dizzy.
What could I see there but
but varnished petals!
Her lips were so pink,
I couldn't stop
from touching them
for a kiss.
There were more
that we didn't count.
We made a whole rose garden
a whole rose garden.
It's just the scent of a rose,
can cast a spell.
A subtle little cause
that had great effects.
