Summer Series #01

The "origin story" for this mix is a little complicated. If interested, read on: 

I played at the Taco Tuesday "Taco'ver" event at Elixir in Downtown Orlando, Florida, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Usually, I'll record at home my set list from that performance, but, this time, I didn't come in with a structured set list—just two distinct playlists with songs I thought would go well together.

So, I freestyled it [for the first time at a venue], and it went well, for the most part. In an effort to sincerely reflect that performance, I tried to do a freestyle mix at home with the same playlists. Ultimately, I tried a few recordings and decided otherwise (each iteration, I felt like what I was putting together wasn't worthy of publishing); instead, this mix is a compilation of songs from the playlist dedicated to the opening half of my set at Elixir (it's mostly deep house and tamer; I stayed at 125 bpm because that's what the boss said). I think it might be the mix I'm proudest of, to date.
