Everett was a teacher at the camp and a full time music teacher all his life in Saskatoon SK. A gem of a man. I composed this in 1995 I believe at the camp and played it during my concert on the final night to Everett's surprise. It was an emotional moment for anyone that was there. This has become one of my most popular waltzes as it's played by many fiddlers everywhere.

John Arcand & I composed this tune in Cabin 9 in 1995. CBC-TV News came to Emma Lake to do a story on the fiddle camp. They had heard about the magical moments in Cabin 9 where tunes were born. Shortly before the sun was to rise, about 4 am, John and I, along with TV cameras and about 20 spectators sat down in Cabin 9 and composed a few tunes. Before the Sunrise and Reg Bouvette Memorial Two Step. Pure magic!!

A tune I composed for some of my my America friends I met at the Montana Fiddle Camp in Avon Montana. Lynn 'Chirps' Smith, Stuart Williams & Mike Williams. They were playing for a contra dance in the evening hours and they inspired this tune that I wrote as soon as I got back to my room. I played this tune in my concert the next night. This tune has become so popular stateside and I thank all my American friends for believing in my music. Freddie Pelletier is pickin' the guitar on this tune and Trent Bruner is the piano player.
