Calyboi started making hip hop music around the age of 13 under the name KD. Soon after, he started producing and making beats on fruity loops and recording live on a program from there.

He dropped his first solo mixtape, Calys World vol. 1, under the name CalyboiKd in 2009, independently with no record label. In 2010 with the internet buzz going it soon landed Calyboi a feature with Mac dres’s label mate dubee and soon after a song with the Bay Area Ambassador E40.

In 2013, Calyboi dropped the KD and became Calyboi and went on to do a lot of producing with EDM trap producers such as Omeguh, Turnt up Syrup and other trap stars and producers affiliated with the Cat House record label. July 25, 2014 Calyboi joined CAPS LOCK CREW created by Kurk Kokane. He also is featured in the crew with acts such as Riot Ten, Yookie, Bentz and a few other hard hitting underground trap artists.
