Amirali is a singer-songwriter, live performer and classically trained pianist. His journey has taken him from his birthplace of Iran to Toronto and onto London, where he now resides. He has released EPs and albums via Crosstown Rebels and his Dark Matters label. His dynamic exploration of musical styles has been pivotal in his artistic journey. We might even be in the present, if not even the future. Somehow, with one foot still in the 80s.

As our universes collide, it’s hard to tell what is what. Whether you think this is a futuristic take on Eurodance with an 80s twist, Italo Body or Trance, that is totally up to you. You might even throw in a few other musical universes too. Is it EBM, Dark Disco or Indie Dance? We don’t know and we don’t judge you for deciding.

Based in Valencia, Loudeast Records has been putting out quality house business to serious dancefloors since 2006. Founded by seasoned DJ and producer Nacho Marco, the label has played host to KiNK, C-Rock, Duckbeats, Terry Lee Brown Jnr, The Timewriter, Mateo & Matos, Midi Drop Music, Fred Everything and Kiko Navarro himself.  For their next release, Loudeast proudly presents Meloglen, the Mallorcan/ LA duo which is comprised of producer Melchor Rossell who has released on 20:20 Vision, Robsoul, Suara, Liebe & Detail and of vocalist Aqeel, who has worked with the mighty Dr Dre, Mala Rodriguez and Chacho Brodas. Their sound draws heavily on the influences of the legendary Detroit Grand Pubahs, the sultry touch of Moodymann, and the funked-up-ness of Parliaments’ George Clinton.
 
‘Elegant Art’ kicks off in minimal fashion with brooding bassline, and vibey as fuck vocal from Aqeel that dances around with the sparsely placed horns and intermittent effects. On ‘For Hire (Nacho Marco Remix)’, the vocal flow and moody swagger of Aqeel is dialled up to the maximum alongside emotion filled piano house keys. The floor focused ‘Attitude’ picks up the pace and is all about the spoken word (Is Prince in the house?). The original version of ‘For Hire’ is a bumpin’ house beauty that also gets a dubbed out instrumental from label head Nacho Marco who adds elements of crunch to funk up the proceedings.

Adrián Peña Sánchez (Calystarr), is a DJ, producer and electronic researcher from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz). His style could be compared like night and day, on the one hand, dynamism and depth and on the other, elegance and freshness. Their sounds are full of psychedelic atmospheres full of harmony using nuances and resources, in most cases, of a retrospective nature. Calystarr usually works under many musical influences, betting mostly on retro and underground indie sounds. In their sets and productions it is common to hear Nudisco, Italo, Indie Dance, Acid and Dark Disco styles.
