There was too much weight built inside of my brain
Just a business trip but decided to stay

Let my clothes fall to the ground as I kicked them away

DAY 13 (30 Day Song Challenge)

And now for something completely different...

Brown horse and white horse were the best of friends. Every day they would race each other, but brown horse always lost. But white horse was bigger, stronger, pure bred. Brown horse was just a work horse. But still their friendship and bond compelled them to race each day. Brown horse begged white horse, "Just one time, let me win the race. I know you'll always be faster. Just let me win." And white horse said, "Of course for you, Brown Horse I would do anything. You are my best friend." So one day they went to the race. White horse promised brown horse he would let him win. Sure enough when the race started, white horse just stood there while brown horse trotted off as fast as he could go. White horse followed lazily along slow behind letting brown horse build up more and more of a lead on the track. Then as the final lap came, something snapped, and white horse could no longer hold back. Galloping into full speed, he passed brown horse just before the finish line. Brown horse looked at white horse bewildered. "How could you do that? I thought you said you'd let me win?" And white horse said, "I'm sorry my friend. I don't know what came over me. Let's try again tomorrow. For sure then I can let you win." But tomorrow it was the same thing. And the day after that. And the weeks after that. And the months after that. Until one day brown horse became very sick and was about to die and he begged white horse, "Please just one time, let me win the race." And white horse said, "For you my friend, as your dying wish, surely I can do this." But it happened again. White horse let brown horse take the lead for a long time, but then when the last lap came, he passed him again. At the finish line, brown horse looking bewildered and sad collapsed dead on the track. Dog came up to white horse and said, "How could you do that to your best friend? He was your best friend your whole life and all he wanted to do was win a race and yet you didn't. You just let him die." White horse looked at the dog and said, "Dog, I didn't know you could talk."
