The theme for this mix was "languishing". Languishing is a sense of stagnation and emptiness. It feels as if you’re muddling through your days, looking at your life through a foggy windshield. Languishing is the neglected middle child of mental health. It’s the void between depression and flourishing — the absence of well-being.

CAMBLUSH: dub techno b2b2b2b // Camber Set 1 (2021-10-24)

My set for the Swamp Squad Vol. 5 raid train, streamed 2021-11-04 on Twitch https://twitch.tv/Quinquatrus

We play techno, deep and dark, with a focus on swampy, natural, atmospheric samples. Subdued metallic cling-clangs, low drones & thick, trippy, murky textures. Swamp is grounded, visceral techno. We do not rocket to outer space; we travel by airboat. Between airboat rides we remain firmly planted with our feet sunken in at least 2 feet of water. Sometimes we lie back in the water and float. The water is warm. There are gators. Most of the time there is a sense of dread or forboding, but sometimes it's soothing and comfortable. Occasionally we find toads to lick and it becomes hypnotic and slightly psychedelic; like staring into a witch's cauldron, slowly spiralling and bubbling a viscous potion.
