Albert Gordon, Cambridge's first black pub landlord, interviewed by Lucy Walker for The Mill Road History Project. Albert tells his story of growing up in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, moving to London in the 60s and becoming landlord of The Midland Tavern (now The Devonshire Arms), where he and Lorna got a dance licence in 1972 - pumping out reggae and soul, welcoming everyone, and creating a legendary Cambridge haunt.
