Duckett is back with his show and says: It seems fitting to have Grimes as my first guest on Outsiders. Everything is his fault, but he says it's all my fault. We started making music together 25 years ago, its been all downhill from then. It's because of Grimes that I consider broken and fucked music normal. He made me feel OK about playing music backwards at quarter speed after a week without sleep. He let me live in his shed, and let me use his four track. I remember Grimes sat in the corner, just observing me as I lost my fucking mind into a microphone. It was real shit. And it still is. Grimes nods to those days this mix, inspired by the inspired, wandering from the well trodden path into various corners of obscurity and back. Grimes has highlighted the story of Syrian producer Obay Alsharani as a kind of abstract sentiment whilst talking about his guest mix. It's worth reading Obay's story. It's worth listening to Grimes mix!! Starts at 25 mins and as hour long. You've got my bonkers shiz for 30 mins each side. Enjoy!!!!

Signals Aligned is Lord Of The Isles’s fifth album and his second contribution to his own Dusk Delay imprint.

Signals Aligned stands as a sonic testament to the intersection of science, spirituality, and the vast unknown. Inspired by pioneering theories on the nature of anomalous phenomena, viewing them not as extraterrestrial but as a complex, multidimensional enigma.

There’s a consistent theme of “discovery through distortion.” Truth is often obscured by layers of misinformation, disinformation, and misperception. The music plays with the concept of clarity and distortion, revealing hidden textures beneath shifting layers of sound.

The sound palette is vast and ethereal, incorporating elements of noise, shimmering synths, and organic textures. There’s a sense of both wonder and unease that mirrors theories on the strange and unexplainable.

Hypress is happy to keep releasing and promoting music as outlets and connections are needed now more than ever. Today, we present @Matvrak as her taste for Electro, Techno & Acid perfectly reflects our own inclinations.  Matvrak  is part of the Vinka Kart collective. She moved from Hamburg to Berlin, and became a resident of "Zur Klappe »  one of Berlin’s most notorious mini club. She’s pushing her production skills, and we’re excited to here what she comes up with.
