He was previously Visiting Professor of Psychology at George Washington University, Zaim University Istanbul, International Islamic University Islamabad, and Al-Neelain University Khartoum.

As an addition to Sayyidina `Ali's salawaat, this salawaat was given by Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ in a vision to Shaykh Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani  ( ق ) who said :

“Reciting this salawaat even ONCE in your lifetime is HEAVIER THAN IF THE WHOLE CREATION was standing twenty-four hours in salawaat, repeating it ALL THEIR LIVES ; this salawaat will be heavier on the Scale then all of their salawaats combined ! 

Alaa ashrafi ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadin salawaat.

`Alaa afdali ‘l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadin salawaat.

`Alaa akmali’ l-`alameena Sayyidina Muhammadin salawaat.

Salawaatullaahi ta`alaa wa malaa’ikatihi wa anbiyaaihi wa rusoolihi wa jami`ee khalqihi `alaa Muhammad wa `alaa aali Muhammad `alayhi wa `alayhimu ‘s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi ta`alaa wa barakatuh.

Wa radi-Allahu tabaraka wa ta`alaa `an-saadaatinaa as-haabi rasoolillaahi ajma`een. Wa `ani ‘t-taabi`eena bihim bi-ihsaanin, wa `ani ‘l-a’immati ’l-mujtahedeen al-maadeen, wa `ani ‘l-`ulamaai ’l-muttaqeen, wa `ani ‘l-awliyaai ‘s-saaliheen, wa `an mashayikhinaa fi ‘t-tareeqatin naqshibandiyyati ‘l-`aliyyah, qaddas Allaahu ta`ala arwaahahumu ’z-zakiyya, wa nawwarr Allaahu ta`alaa adrihatamu ’l-mubaaraka, wa `adallaahu ta`alaa `alaynaa min barakaatihim wa fuyoodatihim daa’iman wa ‘l-hamdulillaahi rabbi ‘l-`alameen.

Translation : 

Upon the Noblest of all Creation, our Master Muhammad, blessings.

Upon the most Preferred of all Creation, our Master Muhammad, blessings.

Upon the most Perfect of all Creation, our Master Muhammad, blessings.

Blessings of God (Exalted is He!), of His angels, of His prophets, of His Emissaries, and of all creation be upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad; may the peace and mercy of God (Exalted is He!) and His blessings be upon him and upon them. May God, the Blessed and Most High, be pleased with every one of our Masters, the Companions of the Emissary of God, and with those who followed them in excellence, and with the early masters of juristic reasoning, and with the pious scholars, and the righteous saints and with our Shaykhs in the exalted Naqshbandi Order. May God (Exalted is He!) sanctify their pure souls, and illuminate their blessed graves. May God (Exalted is He!) return to us of their blessings and overflowing bounty, always. Praise belongs to God, the Lord of the worlds, al-Fatihah.

Mawlid of the Pride fo Creation (vocals and Duff) is the instrument free version of the Album. Based on the English Mawlid Book with the same title, this is one of the first English mawlids comprised of English sung poetry telling the story of the birth of Sayyidna Muhammad. Ali Elsayed does a magnificent job with this project. This is by far his best work. The Album has a version with musical instruments for those who follow the opinion that music is permissible.

This month, we learn about the life and times of Maulana Abdul Majid Daryabadi (d.1977) of Daryabad in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Educated under the British education system at the time, we learn how he navigated the unparalleled challenges of tradition and modernity, and how he dealt with the unexpected opposition to the tawhid of Islam by adjusting and focusing on the Qur’an, the great love of his life.

His is a dramatic story of our time and age, one from which we can learn practical lessons.

Paradigms of Leadership #18 – Abdul Majid Daryabadi

Allah the Exalted says, Allah bears witness that there is no god except Him—as do the angels and people of knowledge.” [Quran 3:18] Allah the Exalted also says, Allah will elevate those of you who are faithful, and ˹raise˺ those gifted with knowledge in rank. [Quran 58:11] And the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whoever Allah wills good for, He grants him an understanding in religion.” [Bukhari & Muslim]

Imam al-Ghazali states, “With respect to the human being, nothing is greater than attaining eternal felicity. And nothing is more virtuous than the means to it. Eternal felicity is only attained through knowledge and action. One can only truly act when he has the knowledge of how to perform the action. Therefore, the foundation of felicity in this world and the next is knowledge. It is the best of all actions.”

In these sessions, we will cover the merit of knowledge and learning, reframing the misuse of religious terminology, distinguishing beneficial from blameworthy knowledge, the etiquette of teachers and students of knowledge, the etiquettes of debate, and the signs of the scholars of the Hereafter. We welcome you to join us in what we pray will be a weekend filled with abundant blessings through knowledge and devotion.
