With over 400 million streams between them, Chris Mears and Joris Mur — who came together in August to bring us the newly formed production outfit HotLap — are one of the most exciting breakthrough acts of 2022. 

Making quite the name for themselves over the past few months following the release of their critically acclaimed debut single HighLife, the British-Dutch duo now return to Selected. with their eagerly awaited
sophomore single You & I.

Boasting an impressive combined resume that details production credits for the likes of Vintage Culture, Meduza, Felix Jaehn, Alok, Steve Aoki, Cheat Codes and Mistajam to name a few, this latest record sees Chris and Joris join forces with esteemed vocalist and Selected. favourite, SHELLS, for a truly stunning debut collaboration. 

An exquisitely produced, feel- good banger brimming with deep basslines, intoxicating vocals and a crisp, rolling groove that carries the record across its three-minute duration, expect to hear this rocking dance floors across the world over the course of 2023.

This extremely talented group of producers takes you to progressive heaven with this transformative and dynamic piece of music, made complete by an angelic vocal part by OANA.

Bluckther, HENNZ and Jonah Oslah whisk you away to a serene paradise as they manufacture a gradually building soundscape. Cosmic synths, groovy clap patterns and a steady, beating kick drum give this production a real sense of atmosphere and detail. The trio also enlisted the vocal capabilities of German singer/songwriter OANA, who absolutely smashes her part and in turn brings an angelic contrast to the crunching and ever-changing progressive production.

After first breaking on to the scene with his debut release on Sony Music in ‘Higher’, Bluckther has continued to master his craft by working with and alongside some of the biggest and best names in the industry. Playing events like Tomorrowland and UMF, while releasing music parallel with the likes of David Guetta, Tiesto and Hardwell, has catapulted Bluckther into the upper echelons of the dance music world. He now sits in the unique position of being one of the only producers releasing progressive house twinged music on Smash The House channels.

HENNZ is the alternative music project of Fabian Hernandez, who usually produces music of the Latin flavour. However, under HENNZ, the talented producer takes a groovier, darker and more melodic approach with releases that could be classified as anything from tech house to progressive and melodic techno. This approach, paired with Bluckther’s unmistakable skills and further support from upcoming selector Jonah Oslah and an angelic vocal part from OANA.

Fresh off the release of ‘Alive,’ prominent house player Bluckther is back on Smash Deep and this time teaming up with young gun producer Azuria for ‘Never Enough.’

Leaving no space for hesitation, ‘Never Enough’ immediately commands attention with a persistent rolling bassline and sharp kick that sets the pressure level to maximum force. Introducing a sense of harmony, a strong female vocal topliner leads ‘Never Enough’ into progressive house realms as a steady groove builds and an electromagnetic field of playful synths form below. 

Crafting a soundscape that reflects pure sonic dynamism is becoming the trademark of Bluckther’s productions. Armada, Spinnin’ Records and HEXAGON are just a sample of the heavyweight imprints who have back early momentum of the Bluckther name. Not to mention, some of the world’s biggest DJs including Carl Cox, Tiësto, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki and more. Proving his force as a frontline tastemaker, Bluckther enters the new year in a strong position with ‘Never Enough.’

Similarly, the new single wraps up a pivotal year from newly established artist Azuria. Having made his debut release at the start of 2023, the producer is showing promising potential as one to watch.
