If you’ve at all sniffed around the Beatport charts at some stage in the last 12 months, then it’s highly likely that you’ll have been hugely impressed by a Berlin-based duo that go under the name ‘Mat.Joe’. With a string of releases and remixes in the last year on Snatch! Mother Recordings, Defected, Strictly Rhythm and of course Toolroom Trax, it’s an outright pleasure to have them return for their debut single release on the governing Toolroom Records this spring.

‘Nighthawk’ is an all-consuming tech house affair packed with deep grooves, guitar and synth licks and a dimly lit vocal performance, creating a delicately atmospheric personality within the track. Mat.Joe wholly boast their signature warm-yet-rough sound pallet and once again show us why their tracks are in such high demand. 

The release is graced by a stunning re-work from Dosem who twists up the original elements and creates a dark roller that’s crafted to perfection.

Marking his second solo release on Anjunadeep in 2018, Dosem’s ‘On Board’ EP sees the Spaniard embrace his trademark melodic techno sound across three startlingly different tracks. Leading the charge with the dystopian floor filler ‘On Board’, Dosem then shifts to a deep jacking anthem in ‘Externalizer’. Closing out the EP is the more mellow 'Moment Of Thought', a tracked seeped in organic sound design.

He grew up in a family of musicians, but not everything in his life inclined cheerful singing. At the age of 18, he was enlisted to National Service, where as a medic, he had to deal with death every day. Soldiers brought from Lebanon were dying right in front of his eyes. Continuous suicide attacks and living on a time bomb made Moshic understand, what the most important thing in life is; to seize the day. When he finished paying his debts to the country, he decided to devote himself completely to electronic music. He fell in love with progressive, which wasnt too popular at that time in Israel.Moshic started to conquer the dance scene worldwide. However the true fame and publicity came with the Nightstalker production. Nightstalker was included in Danny Howellss Nocturnal Frequencies 3 and Jimmie Van Ms Bedrock: Compiled &amp; Mixed" compilations. When Dj Magazine announced the tune as the underground hit of the year, nothing could stop Moshics carrier to expand. The Moshic mix for John Digweeds broadcast on Kiss 100, was marked in history. Since then December 2001 Moshic has constantly emerged from the underground and finally became its ambassador. Every day, every week, every month masterpieces like 10@ZE or the remix of Memnons Locutus were produced. Year after the Kiss 100 broadcast his Distorted Patterns compilation was unearthed. Progressive fans went down to their knees and Moshic was asked to do the Essential Mix that was broadcasted in February of that year.
