About the EP-*
Oshun Ep 
1- Oshun 
We used a mystical voice as a base and built a track with dark and deep beats. We played Some live acoustic guitar to balanced the darkness and warm it up. It’s an invitation to explore  unknown places.
2- Sakura 
Using a famous Japanese traditional theme, we wanted to get a more percussive and deep sound to contrast with the soft melody. We then recorded our own vocals and percussions to add to this live feeling. 
 
3- St Cyr 
A deep and meditative track with a melodic and almost progressive feeling.
We used some religious choir to get that spiritual dark feeling to contrast with the melody that brings out some lights and hope.

Sabo’s record label, Sol Selectas drops an upbeat Afro house EP by RUSKAR which features organic sounds and vibrant percussion.

RUSKAR is a young talent from São Paulo in Brazil and his music blends the traditional music of South America with contemporary electronic sounds to create music that transcends generations.

A passionate young producer and DJ, RUSKAR is a raw and exciting talent who is still early in his career, but already, he has caught the attention of Sabo who has welcomed him as the newest member of the Sol Selectas family.

Prior to this release, RUSKAR has featured on other labels such as Nature Recordings, iM Electronica and Brazuka Music. This is only his fourth official release, but he has already been making waves within the Afro house community, and is well known within São Paulo’s thriving underground music scene.

“Amazônia” is the first of the two tracks on the release, and it’s got a funk-fuelled bassline layered with upbeat percussion and spiralling synth pads. Its tropical bird sound and other ambient effects transport the listener to warmer climates and give the track a trippy vibe.

“Resistência” is a psychedelic track with springy sounds and the modulating tones of rippling synths fuse with a live conga loop. Pitched vocals and dramatic bass chords add to the free-flowing groove of the percussion that fills the track with radiant energy.

Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Outside the city, Dragon waited. Even after she had disappeared, the dragon still watched from the trees. He had felt odd when she had passed the old stone lions and the door had closed behind her. He realized that he had never had a friend before, and what a nice feeling it was to have one. And perhaps that was why the second night, when the sky darkened and the moon rose, Dragon crept out from the shadows of the trees and approached the closed, sleeping city. While he wouldn’t admit it, Dragon thought just standing by the walled city might make him feel just a bit less lonely. The silver moon cast a frosted glow upon on the rough stone wall and guardian lion statues. Dragon stared at them as he approached the gate. Their stocky, heavily built bodies seemed to weigh down the stone platforms they sat upon; and the darkness of the night made their stiff curly manes look like rows of carved blossoms. Estray and Morgan Dope are calling for a reunion in the temple of light. This their first offering for Shango Records.
