The world feels a bit colder these days. To keep your hearts warm, Etui Records has opened the winter camp again. We invited artists from Australia, Italy and Germany to deliver a musical fireplace of dub and deep techno.

The third installment of Etui Winter Camp starts with the laid-back moods of Answering No Questions by Matthias Springer and great rhodes sounds in The Receiver by Simon Mann. Dresden´s new artist Planetary Secrets dives into an ocean of chords with his They Have Been Here and Frank Hellmond shapes the dub house sound in his SH2000. Dandytracks of Vekton tell part 2 of their Dubstories About Us.

With his Ascending new Italian artist Drafted proves that Detroit techno and minimalism is always a great combination. Planetary Secrets interprets also dub and techno in a minimalist way with his Courtyard. It´s followed by the fluffy The Wind Up from Sydney´s very own Trinity and the deep chords of Helly Larson´s Inside.

At the end of this year´s compilation Etui Records label head Insect O. shows his love for hypnotic driven techno in his track Kondor and Melbourne´s Silver Ash spread some chord funk across the dancefloors with his Meranti. Can dub techno sounds happy? Of course! May the world feels a bit warmer with this.

Etui Winter Camp 3 will be out as digital album incl. 11 tracks and special edition in white vinyl incl. 4 tracks limited to 300 copies.

In quick succession to ARCS-03, which boasted remixes by The Mover, Shifted and Peder Mannerfelt, Cassegrain keep up the pressure with a new EP of originals on ARCS-04.

Returning to their tunnelling hypnotic trademark sound over three focused, club-ready trips, the Arcing Seas heads channel varied and irrepressible moods into each track. Built on solid dancefloor foundations and rich in colourful, non-conventional sound design, they scan through tribal ritualism with A side 'Shahmaran', moving to the pumping urgency of 'Caracal' and the rolling post-acid workout of 'Vulpine'.

ARCS-04 is a straight-up DJ-friendly 12'', something that's conveyed in the record’s more minimalist artwork. The sleeves have been hand-screen printed in Berlin by Alex from Cassegrain.

After a string of early, big releases on Pan-Pot's Second State, Brighton-born, Berlin-based Rebecca Godfrey is showing real signs of coming into her own as a producer with Signs & Breaks, a three-track EP due soon on VOIGHT.

As its name suggests, BEC's latest intertwines the rave-inspired breakbeat sound thats currently capturing the underground's imagination, with deep, emotional techno for what's arguably her best outing yet.

"Instead of just jamming, or having a reference idea already, I wanted to take a different approach to this EP," BEC told Pulse via email. "And create a project that uses a sine wave as the main hook, combined with breakbeats, to see what comes out of this! Each track is quite different—which I like.

My inspiration for this EP Sines & Breaks came from my early UK clubbing days, when I used to go to illegal drum & bass and dubstep raves. So I wanted to see how I could incorporate this into my productions. I just used Ableton Live's Operator to create and adapt the sound of the sine wave. Although it's nice to use hardware, sometimes it's not necessary and exactly the same thing can be achieved in the box. Meaning I could also do this whilst on a place.

Sometimes I find that percussion can be a bit too safe and same-y in a lot of techno releases these days. Break beats interrupt the flow and I've found they make people dance like crazy!"

Lights Out Premiere: FBK - I'll Sit Back (Len Faki Hardspace Mix)

Markantonio is back on his label AnalyticTrail with a jaw dropping techno remix of talented French artist Angioma who provides the original tracks.

Although born in France, Angioma is currently living in Barcelona where he has become a regular DJ on line-ups in the citys vibrant club scene.

Angioma is still early in his career and he joins AnalyticTrail having previously featured on Christian Smiths Tronic and Anja Schneider's Sous Music.

AnalyticTrail label owner Markantonio helped pioneer techno in Italy, and has headlined clubs all over the world, along with featuring music on labels ranging from Drumcode to Second State and Intec.

The original mix of Reverberate opens the EP with stabbing chords and fast-flowing percussion rhythms soon joined by dramatic vocal textures. Adding to the intensity of the original mix is the remix from Markantonio, whose harder remix of Reverberate has a hammering kick, plus throbbing synths that ramp up the tension.

Closing the EP is the deep and jazzy Ostenious which has fluttering melodies layered amidst dark atmosphere and tough percussion. True to the classic techno sound of Detroit, this track fuses timeless elements with modern sound design.

'Motor: Nighttime World 3' is widely regarded as one of the best albums of last year. We're proud to present you the third single 'Black Technician' on Music Man. It includes remixes from the Underground Resistance crew. There are two different versions for you to check out. The 'UR Mad Mike Remix' features founding UR member Mike Banks with edits by Skurge & Ray 7. On the 'DirtTech UR Remix' Mad Mike collaborated with Waajeed, who previously worked together with Slum Village, Roy Ayers and Radiohead. For the people that couldn't get a hold of the 'Nighttime World' 3LP too, the original is included as well and gets a full side.
