Amadeus sees it's catalog graced yet again by New Zealand outfit Chaos In The CBD. The kiwi brothers, birthed Ben & Louis Helliker-Hales, are no new faces to the label, or the wide variety of genre-bending acronyms they encompass. Having recently relocated from tropical Auckland to damp London earlier this year, the two take their productions along with them in their latest efforts, 816 To Nunhead.

Title track and aside, '816 To Nunhead,' is tinged with what's left of summer. A nostalgic tune built for the sun and soaked in funk. It's a track reminiscent of early french disco, almost as if built for the two robots themselves. Guitar plucks and hi hats flow seamlessly throughout the tune, aided by a glorifying vocal, 'I would like to think of my music as just an extension, an extension of me of today or whatever.'

What emotion of freedom and escape evoked on the Aside can be contrasted on the flip, '78 To Stanley Bay,' a tune built behind the every looming theme of loneliness. Accompanied by a live trumpet courtesy of Isaac Aesili, '78 To Stanley Bay' tells us a story, or rather a journey, built behind dirty hats and delayed keys. This is a track fashioned for everywhere but the club, and we absolutely love that about it.

I've never had fantastical, bizarre dreams.  Only banal repetition of my everyday life."

Embezzlement Society takes us back to the early days of 80s Hip-Hop with his 'Rough Quarters EP'. 
On his record the man from Belfast heavily relies on Funk-based drum loops as were popular in the 
glorious days of old school Hip-Hop. The results are two super casual tracks with a cool Hip-House 
attitude – just perfect for Hip-House lover Drei Farben House who took the chance to contribute a 
remix in his slick and smooth style, merging the raw drums with some tender Rhodes. Tenderpark 
regular Roman Rauch finishes off the EP and slows down the tempo in his remix concentrating on the 
originals of the samples and displaying his mastery with the MPC once more. As always all tracks 
have been mastered and cut by Helmut Erler at Dubplates & Mastering.

Rough Quarters EP [Tenderpark Records]

A1 Bassline is set to release his first LP – Technicality - on Food Music.

The album's title draws from the club night "Technicality", a monthly Drum & Bass night at Herbal in East London, which is run by Chris Inperspective and continued the sound of early Reinforced and Metalheadz records as well as pushing new forward thinking music. The album is centred around growing up as a teenager discovering this jungle/drumfunk sound through his college friend Rahim (Lab Creation), where the likes on Fold, Ben UFO, Breakage would attend the club.

In addition to well received records on DirtyBird, Pets Recordings and his collaborative work with Leon Vynehall as Laszlo Dancehall, the album is a stamp on A1's sound and his influences from his teenage years to growing up and discovering House and Techno.

Technicality is set to be released September 2015, with the first single and a 12” album sampler late August.
