The Jig is about the struggle some people face in live and how in each individual experience that struggle seems so profound. When you look at what some people are dealign with in life and genuinely compare it to your problems, a lot of the time you'll find that you have a lot to be thankful for. There is a clear lack of balance in the way money is distributed - I'm not one try to understand that anymore, but where some of the richest folks around don't help the people in need, It's worth giving a hand when you can.

The Jig

'Out Of Sight' is a song about life and death. It's about what we really want in life vs. what we get from it. In major events such as 911 or any of my more personal experiences involving death I've noticed something quite profound - everybody comes together and wants to be close. As soon as death comes to mind we are quickly reminded that our days are numbered too. If only we could remember our desire to be open and close to the ones we love in everyday life - maybe we would be living a little bit closer to the truth and in line with our true values; the experience of experiencing each other.

The Holy Grail is a tune about searching for the present moment and finding love in life. In contrast to that it's about the distractions of the material world and how it keeps us away form this fundamental love.

Ocean was written on the side of the Waughs River in Nova Scotia, Canada. It explores the feeling of wanting to let go, that never seems to go away.

This is a song that stays close to my heart. Writen over six years ago now, it's about watching addiction change a person. It's also about being in that position, or any other hard spot with a close friend or family member and not realizing that your behaviour has been a part of the problem. One of the hardest things in the world is to be truly honest with yourself. It's about change and moving into positivity. 

You are worth a whole lot more than the television will tell you. We base our lives on the dynamics the media presents to us. The truth is, every person is made to shine. To feel that, take some time alone and take a sincere look at yourself. Dig deep and you'll find there is no need to act in any particular way to fit in or to survive; just be you!

Brother

During the summer of 2012 I spent a lot of time in the woods of Nova Scotia - most of the time alone and soul searching. In that time I had a reoccurring day dream about panning in the little rivers of Dartmouth and finding enough gold to be 'set for life'. Romantic and unrealistic - I know, but it's a fun dream, trust me. After the summer had passed I wrote this song about making that big find after a long struggle. One of the more interesting stories I've written.

After a car accident that left him severely concussed and manic, experiencing homelessness and a cold adventure in the North Vancouver mountains, Cameron settled into his new home for rest and recovery, writing "Cigarette Butt" on the first day back to normal life.
