Luigi Madonna returns to Drumcode a year after his superb single ‘Primo’ using familiar hooks, huge stabs and monstrous drums that storm across the dance floor which, are common with Mr Madonna. The hard hitting raw vibe of this EP gives Luigi an edge, with fluttering high’s and saturated lows, Luigi’s tracks are a mainstay in all DJ sets. The EP encompasses different emotions throughout that can be felt within the track ‘Singer One’, offering a more mellow side to Luigi’s already expansive catalogue.

We here at Second State are thrilled to bring you our new concept entitled HUB. While most labels these days are doing various artists releases to showcase the overall talent on their label, we thought it would be better suited for both our listeners and ourselves to break the mold and bring you a series of true collaborations. Each HUB release will feature a single artist teaming up with others from the Second State family to create an EP of authentic musical compromises. A place where multiple minds find a harmony somewhere outside their own identity and each collaboration conceives a genuinely unique artifact. With this, there is no one we would rather have kick off the series than the man behind the massive EPs; 'Throwl' and 'Doch', Stephan Hinz with HUB One!

Second track of the EP is Next is 'Hak' with Philipp Ruhmhardt. Together they have already made waves with their tune, 'Doch' becoming an anthem almost immediately since it's release last May. This time they are back with a stormer that feels like racing through a metropolis at warp speed. Each chord stab is a quick, bright flash of color as the shakers and hi hats impersonate the rapid pulse of a speedometer. 'Hak' is a white knuckle ride.

Sergio Maldonado returns yet again with his brand new single 'Everywhere', backed by an amazing techno remix from Davoid.

Turning to the 'b side' of this release, Davoid comes at us with a huge remix of the title track. This big slab of feely techno is for the heads out there that really want to feel on the dance floor. The tracks starts up with the same spacey cosmic vibes but quickly turns on itself to create a vivid landscape of rhythm and harmony from its beautiful chords and stabs, to the many resampled and newly developed elements. 
Its not often a remix comes out AS good as the original mix, so don't pass either of these tunes up.

Maetrik tantalizes us with this outstanding release. Deep and dark warping modulation, twisting upon a bellowing low end is accompanied by searing experimental riffs slithering throughout Cortex 11 - B

Ninex 7 – C has a low end drone of power, which builds slowing alongside a relentless hat before releasing into a mind bending synth pattern of pans and fluctuations. Synth depth reigns supreme as the weighty beat kicks into gear, completing a truly mesmerizing Maetrik 2 track production. 

The EP will be available on both digital and vinyl release on the 29th September. Whilst this label is fresh, they stand to showcase a string of superbly creative and unique releases in the months to follow.
