Three hours of garage, dubstep, grime, hardcore, jungle and techno recorded on a Sunday evening at 121 in Wellington for the Friendly Potential crew. At their request I tried to play with the energy of the old Sunday night sessions at FWD>>, and it was so fun. Old and new music side by side. Spinbacks at 2008 levels. 

Big thanks to everyone involved in this incredible trip to New Zealand and Australia, especially the Friendly Potential crew who made the whole thing possible. It was wonderful to play music again, and I hope to be back soon.

Copenhagen local dj, Jinsu (@jinsunij) for the newest Animix. I met Jinsu last year in Copenhagen when we played the same night at Den Anden Side, a @f_e_l_t night hosted by our mutual friend @perkopair. 

After meeting (and being told by mutual friend's about his skills), I dug into Jinsu's beautifully diverse taste & impeccably on-point dj'ing skills. An avid collector with a broad yet perfectly aligned taste for the Animix series - I'm super happy to share this one with everyone, filled with eclectic groove, depth and flow - in perfect Animalia fashion :)

Séance or Sean Michael is an artist and academic whose work concerns the history of rave in United States and as a global phenomenon. Born and raised on Long Island, they grew up attending all-age parties in their preteens through friend’s older siblings. After college in Providence, Séance moved to Buffalo where they have been promoting, DJing, and producing since 2013. After a few years immersing themselves in the Brooklyn scene, Séance returned to Buffalo in order to suffer the rustbelt rave. In addition to helping longstanding crews in Buffalo, Séance returned to launch a new queer-driven outfit called Ghost Stories that saw its first edition with NYC’s Rachel Noon (Large Marge, UNTER SPINOFF) in June 2018. For this mix they have brought you some of the sounds that have traveled with them on some intimate gigs this past summer and towards Exile Brooklyn gig Nov 14 with CGNY fave Mary Yuzovskaya! Unapologetic gay ravey bullshit, recorded live on October 19th at Buffalo's freshly launched women and queer party, Real Love.

We are thrilled to have Barbara Preisinger, Slices of Life's founder and Deep in the Box guru onboard for our Sol Asylum mix series.  She has been an integral part of the Berlin club scene since moving from Munich in the late 90s and we highly respect her dedication and vision in the electronic music scene. 
 Autumn 2009 Barbara Preisinger founded the 12inch vinyl label SLICES OF LIFE which is focused on organic sounding and diverse club music, with releases by Betke, Mike Huckaby, Baaz, John Tejada and The Mole.
The label´s founding year also marked the beginning of the event series DEEP IN THE BOX with regular parties at Berlin´s Club der Visionäre, Wilde Renate, Ipse among other places. In September 2015 Barbara Preisinger moved DEEP IN THE BOX to the Globus floor at Berlin´s legendary TRESOR club, where she has been hosting her parties every 2 months since then. This podcast is the perfect reflection of her diverse musical knowledge and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

It is such a great pleasure to present you with the first Guesthouse Podcast along with other aspects which we will be bringing out this week such as our brand new website and blog.

To start things off, we have who is, one of the most understated and respected artists in our scene, Rhadoo, to provide us with a recording of his fabric set when the club turned 19 years old last October. A lot could be written and said about this artist who is so outstanding, unique and historically relevant to minimalism, however, in order to be in line with his identity and his understatement we will let the music speak for itself. 

We would like to thank fabric for granting us this recording and wish them a great night this Saturday as they have their annual RPR Soundsystem gathering. 

Back here in Bucharest, we will be celebrating with a stellar line up including Charlie, Christopher Ledger, Inner, Junki Inoue, Kozo, Praslea and Vera.

Herodot is no stranger to Club Guesthouse, his involvement with the club came about many years ago, he is now even closer than ever before as he is among those announced as the new residents of the club so, to celebrate the occasion we asked him for a podcast. 

Best known for keeping the party going for endless hours until nobody can dance anymore, Herodot has proven his creativity not only behind the decks, but also as a producer. He owns Unanim Records. And, talking about endless hours, he provided us with an extract from his closing set at the Toi.Toi. party at Guesthouse this April, a night which he ended up closing on a b2b with Topper. We let the music speak for itself.
