After brutally destroying about half the original layout of this song, due to transferring a hand full of samples incorrectly in the midst of getting it mastered, i dove back in and did some intense reconstruction. Thus the name, From The Ashes. Hope you enjoy!

"Open Your Eyes" was my attempt at blending a funky groove with some inspirational ska/reggae that evolves into a deeply embracing resolution.  I wrote it specifically for Battle Of The Beats 3 in Missoula Montana on 4/27/12, which had a huge impact on the overall flow of the song. Enjoy :)

Open Your Eyes

This track was created specifically for Neon City 2 (2012) in Lolo, Montana. The first Neon City was a fantastic mixture of all types of energetic beings in the middle of the forest, the line up consisted of mostly dance music such as: hardcore, trance, house, happy hardcore, etc. This year the majority of the line up was a bit different, we had an incredible selection of dance music as before but also a more diverse mixture of artists that capitalize on quite a few more genres such as: dubstep, psytrance, hip hop, future bass, glitch, etc. Which inspired the overall structure of the song to evolve from trippy heavy dubs into a more dance incorporated style building up to the climax, or something like that. I hope you all enjoy, much love!!! :)
