Also been wanting a good quality of the original since that 128kbit one came out in the early 2000s, I asked Sophie Moleta and she said it wasn't released.  At least we have that version, even though it doesn't sound great.

My Entry into the Reddit 'Classic Trance' Inner Light Mix Competition.  The theme of the mix is Italian Progressive Trance from the mid 1990s.  All tracks are from Italian artists and were released on Italian labels.

This mix was created for the /r/classicstrance comp, the prompt encouraging one or more rare tracks (hence the 'under the table') pre-2008 trance with no other restrictions. Freedom! I've been itching to make a classics prog set for a while anyway. This set leans in to that classic late 90s prog sound, although it reaches in to the EE era as well. Journey prog was always my favorite and likely always likely will be. Shame the genre is nearly non-existent in 2023. I wanted this mix to be dreamy and a bit more emotive than some of the mixes I've made lately. This mix really takes its time as well, so sit back for the ride. There are some footnotes to explain the rarity or composition path for some of the tracks below. 128-137bpm. Enjoy.

I would not usually dissect such pristine tracks, but I noticed a few years ago that Lost Tribe's 'Under the Red Sea' and Darey's infamous 'Wizards of the Sonic' Remix were made from the same ingredients. Had to cook up a new recipe with them. This is a longer version with a remaster.

****** I thought I could use the Solarstone Pure Intro as it is 2011 remix of a 1999 track, but alas, I missed a rules clarification for modern booties only. This hybrid was made to get around the rules.

Stress & Strain Vol 15 - Classic Progressive Trance, Under the Table

The madlad, the myth, the legend is back at it. He's the owner of Forescape Digital and one of the best looking guys in his city with hair to match, muscles as Hulk and a face to die for. But we are not here to talk about Kirill Smirnov, better known as Enlusion - we are here to talk about his new mix! 

Back in October he created our fifth episode, Still Breathing and now he's back at it again with.... drum roll please... Still Breathing Part II ! I know, who saw that one coming, am I right!? His last episode was focused on the underground world of Progressive House, Trance and Techno and this definitely feels like a natural next evolution of that. Expect some absolutely beautiful tracks from the likes of Enlusion himself, Rock Pier O'Neil, Coredata, a couple of wonderful mashups and some amazing exclusives, JUST FOR YOU! A truely fantastic mix, just the way we like it.

** Unreleased track by Leon Bolier, not to be mistaken for the goa trance act from the 90s. Armin's brother Eller van Buuren features on the guitar. It's been said that Eller wasn't happy with his playing so the tune never went any further. Though there is another "Progressive" version on YT.

CLOSE PROXIMITY open the pack with a nostalgic yet fresh rework of Kaunas Is The New London, channeling that golden 90s progressive energy. Vladyslav Putistin takes Reminiscing into a darker electroclash dimension, laced with EBM grit and trance tension. Finally, Ton Globiter reshapes Cross with Detroit-inflected dub chords and a razor-sharp groove — a fitting close to a release that looks forward while nodding back.
