This new album will transport the listener into a journey of introspection. 
I wrote this album during the pandemic lockdown. I was very much influenced by the raw energy that emanated from trap music. It was a dark time for me to go through and the lyrics I wrote on this album were very much in general a reflection of my state of mind and also a commentary on socio-political issues in the world we're living in.

In 2022, the music video for his single "Winner Today" was also nominated for the Silver Awards at the 2022 Berlin Music Video Awards. 

CANGURU serves up a unique idiosyncratic style. His many experiences, which led him to this project and its DIY implementation, he collected across various formations and bands, and later as a session player on the saxophone - for the latter instrument CANGURU even has a Master of Arts!

Besides releases with various projects, CANGURU is also known for his collaborations with Hayla, Sarah de Warren as well as session legend Herbie Flowers.

All of this did not come without obstacles, however: During the Corona pandemic, he wrote a Trap/Conscious Hip Hop album in which he raps about personal struggles.

His new single entitled “The Good and the bad” is out now.
