This week, Laima Adelaide brings her inner spark to your home stereo or outdoor device. The hour-long recording encompasses a tight selection of frequencies that stimulate the senses from start to end. 

Coming from Stuttgart, Germany, Laima unfolds her sonic expressions and creativity not only in the form of dj sets, but also with solid productions. Her inspiration comes mainly from nature, playing piano and examining visual art. She is the @predawnrecords founder and a skilled producer with a sublime taste. We are keen to share this mix with you and look out for what's in store for her in the near future.

The recording she prepared for us includes an interesting selection of tracks with dark atmospheres and pulsating acoustics. Enjoy.

With great pleasure we welcome the colombian artist and label owner of From A Lost Place @launaea for our tenth episode of the Herbarium mix series.
He chose the very special plant Espeletia, also called frailejón for his musical journey.

The frailejón is a distinctive high-altitude plant found in the paramo ecosystems of the Andes mountains in South America. It is characterized by its rosette-like arrangement of leaves, which are covered in fine hairs to retain water and protect against harsh environmental conditions. Frailejones play a vital role in the ecosystem, serving as water reservoirs and providing habitat for various species.
They reach imposing heights, cover vast tracts of terrain and transform the landscape of the páramos into a green tapestry that blends with the sky and mist, allowing those who contemplate it to immerse themselves in its natural majesty. This adaptation and resistance of the plant could be metaphorically compared to the intrinsic energy of this podcast immersing the listener in a world of intense, challenging and constantly evolving sounds, transporting them into an immersive and emotional listening experience.

Our podcast series continues, this month’s story is told by Taguari.

Oslo-based, Raphael is a passionate DJ and music collector. His journeys are invitations into hypnotic organic worlds, full of psychedelic landscapes, deep ambient atmospheres, or energetic drumbeats. 

His creations can be found on labels and podcast channels such as Navigare Audio, Cellar Door, or Crescent London. He is also the host of the "Blendet Series" podcast, a platform where producers & DJ’s can celebrate, honor, and esteem the full album format of artists they admire. As consumption becomes faster and more and more focus tends to move toward big platforms, where the Music industry seems to dictate and control the behavior of consumers' true algorithms and clicks. ‘’Blendet Series’’ wants to resurrect the emotional bridge that an Album can build between the creator and the listener. And show producers around the globe how much we all appreciate their work.

"My motivation as a DJ is to connect people's true movement with each other, within themselves, and with nature. I like to mix in my journeys different styles of hypnotic music, and bring joy and happiness to the dance floor or from time to time periods of wild ecstatic textures and impulsive dark atmospheres"

As a relative newcomer to the deep, hypnotic techno scene - both listener and DJ, I have been blessed by the openness and inclusitivity of all involved.

In the past two years I have received many invites to record mixes for podcasts and record labels throughout the world that I hold a deep respect and affinity with.

The Navigare Audio podcast returns with a two hour mix from Prague based and Czech Republic born DJ Axis Alpha. The Weltraum club resident has appeared on many established platforms out there so when he approached us making a mix we instantly got interested.

"The newest mix from Axis Alpha narrates a story through the confession of a decadent self, with a strong emphasis on evoking complex emotions within the listeners. The central motif is darker melancholic atmospheres unraveling into uplifting tones that contrast with each other sometimes gently, sometimes more sharply."

In this edition, we are thrilled to feature a mix from a true stalwart of the scene, Joachim Spieth. Spieth, a familiar name to our Delayed family, is an outstanding producer and a formidable DJ. As the mastermind behind the always-reliable AFFIN record label, his dedication to precision and meticulous craftsmanship is evident across diverse musical styles. From the drone ambient music tales that soothe the soul to the hypnotic rhythms that propel us into the depths of techno, Joachim Spieth is a maestro who wears many sonic hats.

Spieth's mix takes us on an aural expedition, steering clear of the conventional. It commences with a dubby, hypnotic, and ethereal allure, setting the stage for an enigmatic voyage. A beautiful dichotomy unfolds as the soundscape envelops the listener, balancing expansiveness and intimacy. In the dimly lit caverns of clandestine warehouses, Spieth's wizardry weaves a tale designed to enthrall without resorting to the clichéd "banging techno" trope.

A transformative moment beckons around the midway point of this odyssey, where a nebulous haze descends upon the dancefloor. Lost in the undulating waves of sound, the crowd becomes tangled in the enchanting atmosphere Spieth has meticulously crafted. Autumn is officially here in the Northern Hemisphere and as we're preparing ourselves to spend more time indoors we're also able to indulge more in music. When the idea of making a label came to us some years ago it we thought our contribution to the music scene should involve a podcast as well to inspire people's search for new sounds and finding new talents through sets as we've been fortunate enough to be able to do.

Next up for the Navigare Audio podcast is German born Shelley who've compiled a wonderful one hour and half musical adventure for us. We're grateful to receive such a fine mixes from talents out there that keep on inspiring us in our search for musical treasures. 

"Shelley, who hails from Bielefeld, Germany, has been DJing since 2019. Electronic music has been a part of her life since childhood. Through the local club scene, long nights, and numerous sonic journeys, she was inspired to teach herself the art of DJing. Her sets are characterised by cultivating frequencies and a deep understanding rooted strongly in nature. She creates an atmosphere that combines hypnotic and impulsive rhythms with dark and dissociative atmospheres.

Shelley channels her love for deeper electronics and transforms it into beautiful sonic realms. It didn't take long for her style to be recognised, and she was able to create impressive sets for such as Diffuse Reality , Crescent London, Artscope, Revelation in Sound and more. Also Eric Cloutier invited her to play her first gig at Tresor in Berlin where she could prove her skills in front of a decent crowd."
