Among the artists who contributed to "Portal" are some established members of the Hiato family, such as the talented Lökust, Alessio Pennati, and Mariz. Additionally, the VA also features new talents joining the Hiato roster, including Acrobatik, Benicci, MIKAA, Law of Physics and  Ed Lopes, as well as the already familiar players in the international market like  Mandraks and DJ Murphy. And let's not forget the thrilling worldwide debut of artists like Vemativ and Lead United, who bring a fresh perspective and energy to the musical landscape.

With expert curation by BLANCAh, the tracks on this VA are perfect for bringing energy and vibrancy to DJs' sets worldwide.

With ‘Analog Junkies’ we welcome Canadian duo Beyond Physical to ICONYC with their latest two track masterpiece. Beyond Physical who have been causing quite a stir with their melodic techno / progressive house influenced productions make their debut with 2 stunning original tracks. Passionate about their métier and adept in a variety of genres, ambience is an integral component in the duo's production sound as techno, deep and progressive house are closely tied to sensations ranging across the spectrum from melancholy to delight. Now interchanging these differing moods into audile form.

Their latest outing shows maturity and musical development, as we kick off proceedings with ‘Dark Angel’, a collaboration with Veytik. The track opens with all the right notes, as the expressive, progressive house influenced track grabs you from the word go, interspersing with roomy glowing vibes and filtered stabs, driving leads culminating into an energetic drop to round off this brilliant underground crowd pleaser, with its understated yet driving bassline powering the groove along. Beyond Physical & Veytik manage to keep the energy up, subtlety allowing the driving feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape.

To close out the duo's debut EP we have the deep, hypnotic title track ‘Analog Junkies’, which is interspersed with subtle effective percussion a profound deep-tech groove and indie influence, turning this one into an underground anthem with a very soul tangling appeal. In short, this EP is everything we have come to expect from Beyond Physical and a wonderful way to start their affiliation with ICONYC, as they once more show their sound remains as fresh, super-charged and relevant as it ever was.

And of course coming back home after that trip was a great, emotional role in the producing this particular EP. Thats why these tracks may seem different one from each other, just like the feelings you get when you traveling, exploring new places and feelings you get when you're at home."
