Chapultepec (“grasshopper hill” in Nahuatl) has been a vital part of Mexico City for almost 600 years. A hydraulic marvel designed by the texcocan Tlatoani Nezahualcóyotl to work as a lung in one of the biggest cities on the planet. 

Throughout 19 tracks Lao explores the imaginative and timeless possibilities of Chapultepec in the form of deep melodies, organic textures, and tribal percussive patterns influenced by Jungle and Rave. The album is a homage to CDMX, the Mexican electronic music scene, and its dancefloor for the last 15 years.

Selvagia, productor y dj peruano, trasciende los límites de la música electrónica latinoamericana, creando un paisaje sonoro único, repleto de polirritmos cautivadores, texturas vívidas, alta energía, con influencias del bass, latin club, techno, y experimental. Su música ha sido mencionada en Pitchfork y cuenta con lanzamientos en Tratratrax, Angels Gun Club, ZZK, Majia, Eck Echo, Terror Negro, entre otros. También, co-dirige @lararaperu, colectivo, plataforma musical, produciendo eventos en la ciudad de Lima.

El Lechu me mostro su musica y me volo la cabeza, le tuvimos que pedir musica para Rebote. Tiene en su soundcloud varios edits y temas propios que me siguen descolocando, ritmos nuevos y densos. Le preguntamos si queria algun remix para sus temas y decidio por Precolumbian y yo (cara ruborisada).

Precolumbian es otra artista que me vuela la cabeza, basada en Philadelphia tiene temas iconicos y eternamente agradecidos por su remix.

Selvagia - RUGIDO

The Mexican duo DNZA and Undrwght, hailing from Tlaxcala, are back with Ravers—an EP that bottles up the electric vibe of rave culture, pulsing with club sounds and a distinctly Latin essence. This new release is a sonic journey that morphs into a full-on dancefloor experience, where every beat celebrates dancefloor euphoria and that shared spirit of the party.

Birthed in a single session in DNZA’s studio, the creative flow of Ravers was all about synergy and intuition, with tracks like “El Ritmo,” “Warehouse,” and “Ravers” taking shape in just one day. This explosive burst of creativity wraps up with “Estrobo,” the final track, which closes out the EP with relentless, high-octane energy. Ignoring genre labels, the duo lets the sounds flow, guided by the energy of club, bass, and Latin club vibes, aiming to capture the raw feel of the moment.

Unlike previous releases like Shape Shifters and Anfibio, where afro influences and hard drums built an evolving narrative, Ravers sticks to a steady, linear groove that just doesn’t quit. It's a nod to the stabs, breaks, and deep basslines that define rave culture, blended with a fresh approach and the growing chemistry between these two artists since their first collab on Genoma EP.

With Ravers, DNZA and Undrwght not only cement their place in the Mexican electronic scene but also showcase their evolution, bringing a mature, precise take on club-driven euphoria. On this EP, the dancefloor feels like a shared space where every beat invites you to join the experience.

There is a sound that does not settle, that escapes between the sweet and the salty. A very physical urban pulsation that pulses in the margins of the city, while sikuris, filtered and amplified, cut through the air with a ritual and ancestral aggression. It is not nostalgia, it is not fusion: it is a collision.
The rhythm advances and breaks. Sudden rhythmic ruptures open fissures in time, allowing a dissonant pentaphonic melody to emerge. The notes move into unstable territories, vibrations that evoke roots but do not reassure them, that question without seeking definitive answers.

Shelter presents “Aveen” — the third installation in our genre-agnostic compilation series.

To follow up 2023’s “Feyrûse” and 2024’s “Mizgîn”, we have curated an emotionally charged collection of 17 tracks that press against the debilitating realities of life in the mid-2020s. The title stems from a Persian word meaning “pure” or “transparent” — signaling a search for unfiltered and sincere artistic expression in the midst of a social climate filled with smoke and mirrors.

“Aveen” features Shelter’s most international line-up to date, with music from 18 artists spread across 13 countries and 5 continents displaying their signature sounds shaped by their local scenes and cultures. 

Flowing through mutated shades of ambient, hypnagogic pop, trance, leftfield techno, neo-perreo, and GQOM — the compilation connects the myriad influences and mind-states of electronic musicians from nearly every corner of the world and tethers them together into a cathartic 17-track excursion.
