The CRQ, founded by El Paso native and Latina jazz vocalist Candice Reyes, currently residing in New Jersey, has become over the years one of the most exciting, creative, and evolving ensembles. After popular response to Reyes’s solo album in 2014 “Crossing Over” and driven by her eloquence and enthusiasm, presents the vibrant and creative new album “Your Way”. The CRQ demonstrates a highly innovative, rhythmical, and pulsating type of music that connects and captivates the listener. The musical bond amongst each member is clearly visible and audible through each performance of the band. The CRQ creates a platform to generate new ideas while maintaining a constant communication within its members. The repertoire of the band reflects its roots in the tradition of jazz and blues as well modern-day music. The quintet is a dynamic ensemble that channels music with a spirited and openness to originality.

Candice Reyes, born and raised in El Paso Tx. Graduated with her degree in Commercial Music (Vocal) at the University of Texas at El Paso. Candice gained recognition for her amazing vocal talent, when she began singing in the big band at Hanks High School. She then auditioned for the local contest El Paso Idol and won. She represented El Paso in Pasadena California. Candice has then been an image and icon of the jazz movement in the southwest. The young vocalist began forming her group called Candice Reyes Quintet. She then became involved with the jazz scene and began promoting and moving the scene in El Paso. Candice recorded her first album "Crossing Over" in 2013. She continues to pursue her career and sing professionally. The young jazz vocalist is best know for her petite figure and enormous voice. Candice is such a great asset to the jazz community and continues to show off her talent. Candice is amongst the best jazz vocalists in the Southwest. 

Candice is currently living in New Jersey. The young vocalist is active in the New Jersey and New York scene. Candice is performing on a regular basis with her quintet in Manhattan. The CRQ's new album "Your Way" featuring six time grammy award winner and jazz renowned bassist Christian McBride. The album will be released late November 2018.
