Last night I had the pleasure of opening the show for A Nightmare on Rave Street on southern Vancouver Island! A very fun start to a fabulous night of degenerate joy.

I heard that every time you recall a memory, your mind changes it, each time getting further from what really happened.
I wrote a song years ago now, about a relationship that ended (classic). I blamed myself for a lot, but the further I get from it, the happier I am for the experience. Whether that's my mind changing the memory, or just me maturing, here's a version of that song, imagined echoing from over the hills.

I got the chance to play at open decks in March and it was an absolute blast. Amazing audience, great DJs, and the best vibes I've seen in a while. This is my set from the night; please imagine my bassface and wildly waving arms, because I was TI-RED after that set.

It's insulting, what people say when ending things. In the realm of poetic, self-serving phrases that sting for weeks, months, years. 
"I'll remember you", spoken like I was a lesson, a tool, rather than a human being. It's happened more than once. I wrote this song last year after mulling that phrase over, and the result is here. It feels good to get it out, like a reminder to myself that I deserve to be treated like a whole person.
