Bermuda’s own songbird, Canjelae, grew up using the islands beautiful caves as her own private theater. The natural echos and the mysterious ambiance came to shape her sound and essence in more ways then she could imagine. There in her own world is were she developed into the amazing talent that we are falling in love with song by song. Before delivering her debut project, she introduces “Cave Covers” which will be a series of familiar songs with her all female band. The acoustic version of Beyoncé’s, “Me, Myself & My” will be the first installment of the series where she adds another soulful element to the chart topping single. Canjelae, born “Canjelae L’che” in Bermuda, comes from a long line of known storytellers, poets, artists, and singers.

Throughout her early teens Canjelae, known affectionately as “Canji”, would find her herself lost in the piano, using music as an escape from the many changes, emotions, and rollercoasters life had in store. By the age of 17, she released her first single, “I’m Free.” An instant hit on her island home, the record shot to the top of charts and landed at number one on Bermudian Radio. 

A vocally potent elixir of passion and playfulness, Canjelae draws listeners into a world of her own. She welcomes you in to explore this magical place in her forthcoming first full length musical work.
