Without seasons, time slips through our fingers more easily, and our experiences melt into one another.

And summer is a special season. A time of freedom, of joy, of coming together.

Summers are for journeys. Trips to new and exciting places. Adventures that play out under the heat of the sun, giving life to everything it touches. Exploration and experience, new sensations and new people.

It made sense, therefore, to start our musical journey through the four seasons in this most-cherished period of the year: the summer.

Across the 10 tracks on this VA, we have collected a group of tracks that shimmer and buzz with the energy of long, brilliant nights under the stars, but which also capture the unhurried calm of a balmy, carefree summer's afternoon.

From a selection of our favourite artists and friends in the world, Seasons : Volume 1 brings together an extraordinarily talented group of musicians, each of whom has crafted a slice of summer in their track.

Majestic peaks in the mind and in the soul.

Arian and Akar are both 26 years old, DJ and producers living in Malmö, Sweden.

Since very young age they have had big interest for electronic music. Nowadays they are experimenting and producing Deep House, Tech House and Nu-Disco with releases on record labels such as DeepClass records, Conic records, Itom recordings, Samui recordings, Lisztomania records, Mole music, Kudoz records. They have also been guests on various radioshows on Ibiza Global Radio, Ibizasonica and Ibizaliveradio.

It was in Ibiza 2015 where Akar became a finalist in world's biggest DJ competition and Sweden's representative at ''Burn Residency 2015'' where he was chosen as one of 20 DJs who got to be part of it where 8000 + DJs from 130 countries applied for.

With mentors like Carl Cox, Philip Straub and Yousef during the bootcamp, Akar also had masterclasses by big names from the industry such as Marco Bailey, Umek, Uner, Nakadia, Jay Lumen and Tony Andrews

Marcos Gari aka Cocho, is a DJ producer from Buenos Aires.  He's  been oriented to Organic House and influenced since childhood by melodic music such as Gustavo Santaolalla, Sigur Ros, José González, among others.

In his mixes, he combines organic and ethnic sounds with harmonious melodies and a solid groove, seeking to take the listener to the deepest part of himself, encountering feelings of nostalgia. Cocho sees releases on labels such as Canopy Sounds, Mirrors and Seven Villas.

His tracks were supported by artists such as Nebula, Bross, Madraas, Guhus, Fernando Ferreyra, Urmet K, Stranger Tourists, among others.

Shakib Jakir started his musical journey at a very young age. He grew up learning Indian classical music at the age of 4 playing harmony with his father. For years he played the bass, but his love for the melodic structures of deep house & techno drew him to produce his own crafted electronic creations. 

He learned production from some of his very close and talented friends, but his unique sound and production style came so naturally that he has since then taken his own path where he often blends beautiful strings, organic drums, and world sounds.
