Here we present a three deck vinyl mix from Cantle, a drum & bass disciple keen to give something back to the local drum & bass community which he encircles. Throughout his mixing career he has showcased his current voice whilst steadily retaining an air of reminiscence to each set whilst placing an underlying emphasis on simplicity, intellect and warmth in his tune selection.

Ever self-critical on the decks, Cantle continually strives to compound a ‘third tune’ – an outcome of two records that he feels are “just made for one another” (ie. the mix at 16:25).

This three deck vinyl mix of his encompasses a heritage of drum & bass layered and composed with the sole intention of sharing his genuine, indisputable passion with others through a format that can be experienced at their own convenience. For Cantle, this recording very much symbolises the shape of things to come whilst at the same time has been “a long time coming”.

“Getting to grips with an additional turntable has by no means been straightforward. If anything, the introduction of a third dimension to my mixes has become an ongoing, prosperous challenge leading towards an achievement that’s been incredibly rewarding (so far) with plenty more teases to follow.”

Finally, Cantle wishes to emphasise his whole hearted support and upmost respect for the producers, artists and labels featured on this mix for influencing and allowing him to transmit their melodies and rhythms into a blend which ultimately showcases a pronounced ‘sound’ and style of his very own (you know who you are).
