This is my (shortened) cover of Goodbye Summer, Hello Winter (a.k.a. ProJared's theme song) by FantomenK.  I'm not really sure what the inspiration was for this one, though I suppose the first part comes as a culmination of Epic Game Music's and WalrusIncMusic's covers.  It starts out as rock (acoustic in parts), becomes hardstyle, a bit of dubstep thrown in (just because), and returns to rock at the end, with some extra backing synth and choir.  The challenge comes from wanting to add more without adding too much.

First off, I want to thank Mr. Strings for taking the time to re-record his guitar solo for this track.  I feel it's a perfect fit for the song.

Other than that, while I wanted to stay pretty close to the original, I couldn't help but make the changes I am wont to do, especially during the Dragon Dance section.  Enjoy!

So this one came as a request to make something very akin to the Hero of Rhyme while giving it a sort of remixed feel.  Since the Player Select album already has an instrumental version available, I'm making a point to only release instrumental covers if I can put enough of my own spin on them.

The idea for the choruses was semi-inspired by one of the trailers for Straight Outta Compton, which added some pretty epic piano to the film's classic titular track.  I wanted the first chorus to be reminiscent of early-'90s West Coast hip-hop, while the second chorus would use the more synthesized elements of more contemporary hip-hop.  At the same time, however, I wanted to see how well I could transition a funk/jazz second verse into an orchestral finale.

There's a lot going on in this song.. perhaps too much.  Even so, I'm happy with how it turned out.
