After continuing to build her reputation and fanbase in 2020 despite COVID-19 putting a stop to many of her plans, Katherine Priddy is ensuring the momentum continues into 2021 with a new digital release of a much loved Daniel Johnston song, ‘True Love Will Find You in the End’, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The cover of this cult hero’s track features more beautiful strings from Harry Fausing Smith, as heard on her recent Winter release ‘Still Winter, Still Waiting”, as well as her soft, pure vocals, trademark harmonies and fingerpicking guitar style. There is no doubt that Priddy has made this song her own and her arrangement gives it an entirely new sound, whilst honouring the tenderness and simplicity of the original tune. It’s the perfect, realistic love song for a Valentine’s day in lockdown - just keep waiting, love will find a way.

True Love Will Find You in the End - Katherine Priddy (Daniel Johnston)

Caoilfhionn (pronounced Keelin) Rose is a singer, songwriter and producer from Manchester. Emerging from a diverse music scene, she ties together remnants of Manchester’s musical past with its evolving present. She has collaborated with musicians from around the world and is perhaps best known for her work with Vini Reilly of Durutti Column: Collaborating on four songs on The Durutti Column – Chronicle LX:XL album.  

Caoilfhionn’s music draws on a diverse range of influences from The Mummers, to Rachel Sermanni, Melody’s Echo Chamber and Broadcast. She also professes to a love for beautiful, stripped back, piano based music, such as Dustin O’Halloran and Peter Broderick. Vini Reilly from The Durutti Column is a big influence and inspiration as is her immediate environment. With Manchester’s Fletcher Moss Park especially inspiring. Her debut album Awaken was released October 2018 on Gondwana Records. A deeply collaborative recording, co-produced by Matthew Halsall, Caoilfhionn and members of the band it is a rich tapestry that draws on folk, psychedelia and subtle electronica influences to produce something expansive, fragile and experimental.
Part of several collaborations, she featured on The Durutti Column (Vini Reilly)’s 2014 album ‘Chronicle LX:XL’.

An eclectic taste in music, her influences range from The Mummers to Polly Paulusma to Broadcast to Rachel Sermanni, Peter Broderick and many more.
