The cover art is one of the old photos his mum and dad took in that period. The typography was added by collaborator David Sankey, who also did the design on Tidy Kid's split release with Bibio back in 2010. 

His new album 'Vector Garden Zone' consists of an eclectic ensemble of old and new tracks. "All these songs, like pretty much most of my songs are made in one sitting. I never really go back to tweak or do any additional production, it’s created, mixed and often close to mastered. So these tracks are like diary snippets, and I feel, now hearing them all back together, that they bring out the more fun punk ish side of my personality." says Marly.

2014, boiling hot sun in Berlin: Kiki Hitomi, Dead Fader, DJ Die Soon, and DJ Hotel got together in a shaman house to record. Within 3 days without food -only surviving on green holy aroma's- they recorded 44 songs. 13 of those tracks form the album "8". 

These highly intense improvisations, all one take recordings, connect into one long bass-heavy soundtrack that gives a nod to 60's Japanese New Wave cinema and movies like "Sunano Onna". 

The atmosphere is hauntingly claustrophobic, highly atmospheric and dense. These post apocalyptic dubs became the blueprint for Kiki Hitomi's LP "Karma No Kusari" on Jahtari. 

The limited edition (88), hand crafted and numbered, glitter cassettes come with screen printed cover art by Diana Boys and features artwork by Kiki Hitomi.

Behind the Karen Lust moniker we find Karsten Pflum, a Danish bedroom producer, who has been active on the European electronic music scene for over a decade. 

Karen shows the feminine side of Karsten: the tracks on Vigilax are produced in drag, most frequently knee-length dressses with dropped waist - typical of the 1920's fashion. 

Also the cover art was made in this demeanor: Karen used all the audio cassettes as a canvas for her painting. Each cassette contains traces of that paint. 

The limited edition cassettes come with 3 digital bonus tracks incl. remixes from Rolando Simmons and WHRK. 

The Rephlex sound echoes over Vigilax as an archaic archetype. The record reflects a producer having fun in the studio, making simple songs, rather than working with a sophisticated set of rules of ideas. This freedom lead to the composition of these 9 tracks.

Batfinks, a.k.a. Steven Wareing (1982-2016) 

Batfinks became part of the Caoutchou fam since he contributed the track 'Shamalaalaa' for the second Rubber Beats compilation back in '09. 5 years later we released 'Bibobleyboo' on our label and early 2016 he sent us new material; an album named 'Mosisac'. Later that year we heard the sad news that Ste had passed away. 

Batfinks was a mysterious character on whom we never really got a hold. When we talked, our conversations ended up in neologistic gibberish and laughter which was simultaneously amazing and funny. When we asked about his background to compose a promo text for his album this is what he wrote to us: 

"Learnt my first chords when I was 4 on a Casio MT-65 on the toilet which was very satisfying I must say. Learnt how to play 808 State and Sonz of Da Loop Era tunes when I was 7 with a mate of mine, Jim Noir. Spent a lot of time with my dad and brother going to bluegrass gigs and old folks homes. Influences were mainly old school rave music when I was younger but then got into Gong, The Orb, Orbital, Autechre and that. A lot of jazz and world music stuff which was through my brother and his mates." 

Mosisac shows us a side of Batfinks which we haven't heard before. Instead of the usual Batfinksesque sound we are now introduced to a collection of grim and gloom-ridden tracks although his typical sound is still imminent. In his dad's words: 'The musical version of Hieronymus Bosch paintings... it's a profound vision of someone on a path'

Rognvald - What a Lovely Day

6SISS is a project of Peter Adriaenssens, a one-of-a-kind sound painter that bewilders unwary listeners with a plethora of rhythmic noise and abstract forms of techno. CONSTRUCTION10 is something unique; it are the musical ramblings of a skilled sound craftsman that ventures uncharted and often eerie sonic territories. The export product of his concoctions translates itself almost inevitably in a droning yet versatile and claustrophobic yet adventurous album. Pounding experimental techno, clattering noise and raven dark soundscapes conjoin on his newest soundtrack. 

Young artist Joren Van Acker was inspired to visualise Peter's chilling and unsettling vibes by means of a charcoal drawing. His auditive experience is portrayed by a boat in an open sea, lost and wandering during the pitch-black night. The passenger of this audiovisual trip is stranded on a ship that is heading wherever, and is left behind with a feeling of confusion, anxiety and mostly audacity. 

As they want the musical and visual voyage to be unique, they produced only a very limited amount of physical releases that are enshrined in a handmade box and that include a cut-out of the original charcoal drawing.

Digi G’Alessio is a 31 year old producer from Florence, Italy. He got into music back in ’96 as an MC, heavily inspired by Digable Planets, A Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubians etc. After his hip-hop years Digi got into other subcultures: the punk, hc, & noise scene before returning to black music: afrobeat, funk & dub. He started playing the saxophone in “Trio Cane” and after that he played synths + drum machines in the band “A Smile for Timbuctu”. Eventually Digi took all these influences to create his current project: Digi G’Alessio. 

The Purple Book is the third in a series of concept albums based on colours: The Yellow Book was out on Plynt records and stands for beats with crazy leads and happy bass lines. The Brown Book was out on Phonocake and was all about beats with roots sounds and raw bass lines. 

The purple book is about reminiscence: old beats with a nostalgic feel, melodic leads & samples related to personal memories… a trip down memory lane.

Herrmutt Lobby is a worldwide collective of musicians, handymen and developers who have been releasing music since 1997. They've played in several formations (Bretzel Zoo, Back and Forth, Whilinsoulmate) and worked with numerous artists such as mc NON (Shadowhuntaz), drummer Renax (who is also featured on Mind Safari) and producers Cupp Cave, YoggyOne and DZA; to name but a few.
 
Inspired by legends as Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Moondog, MF Doom & Madlib, the Herrmutt Lobby sound evolved into a symbiosis between hiphop, afrobeat & jazz. They create this music by using midi controllers that remote their maxforlive devices & software generators. To make this happen they have around 40 midi controllers in the studio. 
 
Their mission is to bring electronic music live: by developing their own soft- and hardware they were actually able to bring it in real time with a high level of retroactivity between human and digital operators. This means they don’t use clips, loops, sequencers or backing tracks; It's all about keeping the music as an extension of the physical movement. Recently they launched the well acclaimed Beatsurfing Midi controller app for iPad (http://beatsurfing.net/).
 
The new EP 'Mind Safari' focuses on acoustic drums, digital monkey and funny lead solos. The theme is duality: a melting pot of sadness & humour.
The drums on some tracks are provided by long time member of the Lobby: the amazing David Haerens aka Renax. The artwork was designed by Dalcym.
 
According to Herrmutt Lobby this is the strangest release they have done so far...

Attack, Decay is just that: it punches your eardrums and dance buttons with shrapnel synth shot and rhythms on one track, then turns things around with nostalgic melodies and more laid-back beats.
