I've always wanted to create a trap beat with a touch of nostalgia. I'm calling this genre 'New Trap Wave.' I made this track positive and chill to help address the Middle East crisis.

In Maya mythology, the underworld is called Xibalba (pronounced "shee-balba"). It is depicted as a dark, frightening realm associated with death, disease, and fear, ruled by the Lords of Xibalba, a group of death gods. 

The Maya* believed Xibalba was a place of trials, tortures, and dangerous challenges for souls who entered. 

Cenotes, natural sinkholes filled with water, were considered by the Maya to be entrances to Xibalba.
