Delta Vaults opens the compilation with ‘Colors Of Life’ - an instrumental piece that builds with grand apex energy, driven by melodic synths and sweeping progression, marking his debut on the label. Milan Steenwinkel follows with ‘Hold Me’, delivering a deep, introspective journey through layered textures, rhythmic tension and longing vocals. Closing the release, JNSN returns with ‘Time’, blending emotive chords and energetic percussion into a richly uplifting track. A seamless fusion of melody, emotion and forward-thinking production, ‘Fragments XXXI’ adds another bold chapter to the evolving compilation series.

The ‘Fragments XXXI’ artwork is a photograph taken by Kelsey Williamson, featuring mobula rays during their migration in the Sea of Cortez off the coast of Baja. Kelsey is an adventurer and photographer passionate about exploring the world’s most remote and stunning regions. Her work captures untamed landscapes and underwater wonders, inspiring a deeper connection to the wild and a curiosity for the unknown.

Often called “the world’s aquarium,” the Sea of Cortez is one of the few places on Earth where thousands of mobula rays gather in spectacular mass aggregations. By working closely with local fishers and coastal communities, CEDO (@cedointercultural) promotes sustainable practices that safeguard species like mobulas and the health of the entire Gulf of California.

Making their collaborative debut on Purified Records, Serra 9 and Somyu unveil the immersive ‘Ocean’ EP. The title track opens with swirling melodies and deep, hypnotic grooves - blending Serra 9’s textured production with Somyu’s delicate, piano-driven touch to create a sound both fluid and expansive. On the flip, ‘Final Signal’ delivers a deeper, more introspective cut, layering atmospheric pads and intricate rhythms with subtle emotional weight. Together, these tracks form a captivating journey through melodic soundscapes and nuanced storytelling. A seamless fusion of both artists’ distinct styles, the ‘Ocean’ EP marks a standout moment for the pair - introducing a refined collaboration that leaves a lasting impression.

Taken by Brooke Pyke, the ‘Ocean’ EP artwork features a pair of young humpback whales cruising the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. Brooke is an award-winning marine life photographer from Australia, based on Ningaloo Reef in WA. With a background in diving, she now focuses on ocean, travel, and adventure photography, capturing the beauty of the underwater world since 2014.

Each year, humpback whales migrate thousands of kilometres to the warm, sheltered waters of Western Australia’s Ningaloo Reef to breed, give birth, and raise their young. The Australian Institute of Marine Science (@australianmarinescience) supports research across these vital ecosystems, using science and technology to better understand and protect Australia’s marine biodiversity

Serra 9 x Somyu - Ocean

Returning to Purified Records, Russian duo Garlington present their evocative ‘Chasing The Moment’ EP. Opening with ‘Remorse’, they set a reflective mood with emotive melodies and a subtly grooving rhythm, building a rich sense of depth and atmosphere. ‘Weightless’ follows with a lighter touch - blending crisp percussion, airy textures, and luminous piano chords into an elegant indie dance moment. Closing the EP, the title track ‘Chasing The Moment’ delivers a dreamlike journey through flowing synth lines and immersive soundscapes, striking a perfect balance between serenity and drive. A showcase of Garlington’s evolving sonic identity, this three-track release reinforces their place as a distinctive voice on the label.

Taken by Rachel Moore, the ‘Chasing The Moment’ EP artwork features waves crashing on a barrier reef on the island of Mo’orea, French Polynesia. Rachel is a professional underwater photographer and environmental advocate dedicated to capturing the wonders of marine life. With a special focus on the grace and intelligence of humpback whales, her storytelling inspires a deeper connection to the ocean and a commitment to its preservation.

French Polynesia is home to one of the world’s largest and most remote marine protected areas. Pew Bertarelli Ocean Legacy (https://www.pew-bertarelli-ocean-legacy.org/en) has been instrumental in supporting this achievement, partnering with local communities and governments to establish and manage large-scale ocean sanctuaries.

Alaska’s waters are among the most productive in the world, sustaining rich marine life and vital fisheries. The Alaska Marine Conservation Council (@ak.marine) champions sustainable management of these ecosystems, working with communities to protect fish habitats and ensure a healthy future for marine resources.

Caweh Passereh more commonly known as Capa is without doubt one of the most exciting, creative and inspirational progressive producers in the current dance music scene.
Residing in Stockholm – Sweden (where there seems to be something in the water with melodic producers) Capa brings a wealth of experience in terms of production; Early support from Toolroom Records and a co production credit on the massive Icona - Pop project really signalled the start of a very inspiring career for this creative talent. The desire and demand to learn new skills and styles is also somewhat important to Caweh; a qualification in sound engineering means that he is able to utilise techniques and processes and apply them to modern day productions.
2014 saw the focus and creation of several brand new solo projects, focusing on his signature sound, the “Capa” progressive; Big soaring leads, floating arps, 80’s inspired bass lines and the clever use of vocal samples. When complete these records really are candidates for “future classics”.
With the powerful support from Annie Mac, Pete Tong & Danny Howard on Radio 1 (described as “pure talent, alongside the likes of Eric Prydz & Grum”), A -list DJ’s Above & Beyond, Armin Van Buuren and many more; Capa is firmly on the radar of many within the music industry and amongst avid progressive fans around the world. As a result Caweh has had the honour to remix Digitalism, BT, Super 8 & Tab, DJ Fresh and more!
It is easy to understand why there is such a buzz around this super talent. Expect some high profile releases in 2015 under Anjunabeats, Armada Trice & Zerothree. (With a few unexpected surprises also on their way..).
